I stayed here for one night in July. It's fine as hostel although I was surprised by the self check-in and no staff. The first impression is of an overpowering smell of bleach, cleaning fluid and air-freshener. Partly reassuring that the place is clean but it is too strong and suggests cleaner is splashed about on purpose. The toilets were thick with green cleaner, goodness knows what all this stuff is doing to the septic tank! The bed was comfortable and the kitchen well appointed.A layout plan and a WiFi notice at the entrance would help.

So pleased to have come across grey corrie lodge. Rebecca took us in as a last minute booking for two nights after our camp was completely washed out (life saver!). Could not have been more grateful for her super friendly service and easy booking process (covid requirements and all) with consideration to us being parked up on the side of the road somewhere in our soggy clothes! We made a b line for the lodge and on arrival found a perfectly functional room for two ppl, well heated, clean and very comfy beds. Great showers and spacious clean kitchen which we were able to us to store all of our unused camping food in til the trek back home. The lodge also put out very welcoming vibes! Honestly couldn't have asked for anything more. Thanks so much Rebecca for having us! 😊

This is a cheap basic hostel. Nothing fancy. Kitchen equipment is okay, with fridges, ovens, stove and water boilers,... The showers are fine, but the toilets aren't cleaned, and one seat was broken. Rooms are basic but clean. Beds where comfortable and fresh. Electric heater, wall outlet, and little sink are available on the room. There's WiFi coverage in de hallway, with fast internet. There's are 2 drying room available, but the heater in the kitchen works better. When we were there in September there wasn't a lot of social activities. The doors of the rooms make a lot of noise when closing them, so you hear them quite often. But all by all, great value for the price.

Nothing short from perfect even for a group with 10-11 years olds. Clean, beautiful location, all facilities in place and very comfy sleep (like for the bunk beds). We loved that and hoping for more in the future.

I slept on the kitchen floor because my friend was snoring, I'd had a few beers and may have been a bit annoying. The staff were very helpful and the other guests didn't seem to mind having their breakfast with a drunk man sleeping near them. Nice community atmosphere. Would certainly do it again.
