I'd like to welcome you to what must be the best 1970's theme hotel in the Highland of scotland. …

Old charming highland hotel in an absolutely stunning location. The room is clean, spacious and has with comfortable beds. Very friendly and helpful staff, and the dinner we had was very tasty. All in all a very pleasant and relaxed experience.

Super dated rooms but they are clean and warm. Staff are great. Very friendly. Breakfast was good too, real old school set up. Dinner was also great, best short rib I've ever had. It's not cheap, tbh everywhere in the Highlands is super expensive, I guess you gotta pay a decent wage to get staff to come for the season. But the food is worth it and the location is great for exploring this part of the world.

The staff in this remote hotel were very friendly and helpful. The food was also very good. However, the fabric of the building is extremely poor. There is no charm or warmth about the place. The bedroom was sparse with cheap furniture and a very uncomfortable bed. The en-suite was functional. The corridors to get to the bedroom was extremely narrow. Despite the hard work of the friendly staff, I don't think any amount of money spent on the building would improve it.I can't recommend it and we won't return

Really lovely friendly staff, great food. Lamb shank was delicious (see photo). Restaurant/bar area is nice and spacious and there was live Scottish/folk music on the Friday! Can't comment on the rooms as didn't stay.

Fantastic food, great service, and very helpful and forthcoming staff. The common places are warm and cozy. The rooms were quite spacious and light, but the bathroom is a bit small.

Used the Dundonnell Hotel’s campervan stopover service for two nights while climbing An Teallach. The hotel staff were so helpful, polite and welcoming. The bar serves great food and had a really convivial atmosphere. We’ll be back…

I always hesitate to extol a special place because I fear it will become popular and beyond my humble reach.Nevertheless, and with some trepidation (and noting with sadness that there were only about 10 of us down for delicious breakfast on both mornings), I must declare it's a fabulous and special place, and excellent value when compared to most in the region. Although, that does not mean it is inexpensive.Everything in the Highlands has become ridiculously expensive over my years. Dundonnell delivers a special experience if you combine the spectacular location with the genial and welcoming staff in the lovely old hotel. No TV, but excellent 5G reception. So hey ho on the net isolation. Turn them off. Do not watch TV. Walk around and feel like you're in personal Panavision. You will be.The breakfast is excellent and full of variety. The dinners are basic but good to very good quality, which is what you want if you can't be arsed jumping into a car.Oh yes. You'll need a car to stay here.Overall, don't miss the Dundonnell hotel. It is magical but remember, it's an old hotel with old hotel quirks. Including being very warm! Thanks to all the friendly staff who helped pull me out of my wee gloom. And the mountain and little loch Carron.P.
