We had a single night here, and enjoyed it so much we came back for a repeat a week later. Particular advantages here are the car park and generous checkin/checkout time. There are almost no other hotels near the centre that have these. …

Great location just a few minutes walk from all that Inverness has to offer. At the end of the street there are stairs down to the main mall/restaurant area so very easy to get to everything. …

Looks good on booking.com, nice photos of a hearty breakfast, on booking was told that no breakfast due to covid reasons. ( They have had 2 years to work out how to provide a packed breakfast) Also no wifi, no shampoo and no staff on premises. Although they responded to my texts. were unable to resolve Would not recommend

I have never had such a negative experience in any establishment I have ever stayed in. I can usually overlook minor pecadillos if the welcome is friendly and the hosts seem happy to see you, but this was over the top.  …

Room 6 advertised as having city views but all you see is the top of a spire, see pic. No hair conditioner or bathroom products except shampoo and soap. Very friendly and accommodating welcome. …

Three months ago, I booked one night's stay for one person in twin room at Crown Hotel Guesthouse through a major travel website for $X. Credit card was deducted for full amount of $X as I had selected advance payment option. …

Very Basic B&B. Clean but there was nothing exceptional about it. Separate bathroom, across common landing. Towels were like sandpaper and very coarse. Broken chair leg in bedroom and what looked like a bullet hole in centre window. No breakfast and no staff so not really B&B just a bed. Limited Paid parking at end of street.

I booked a twin room with a private bathroom in this guesthouse after checking all the details (including covid measures). I was sure that they were still offering luggage storage and it was mentioned clearly in the booking.com facility details. After booking, I sent them a message asking about luggage storage for us but they didn't answer my request. I tried to call a few times as well but no one answer. After we passed the free cancellation date, finally someone answered my inquiry and told us that they couldn't keep our luggage due to local govt recommendation (which is a safe basic answer coz I stayed in other accommodation in Scotland and basically they are all agree to keep our luggage as long as we move it ourself (not asking help from staff for safety measure). And then the manager told us they will refund our booking through booking.com only.... to reject our request one day after that. What a shady business! They prefer to eat their own words instead of keeping their good reputation. Just stay somewhere else instead of this dishonest business.Oh, and their private bathroom IS NOT PRIVATE AT ALL. It was located outside their room and required different lock. When we accidentally left our darn lock, they took 40 mins to open the door (no staff at the premise) made us almost late to our tour to skye. Heater didn't work and we hand to use a TINY portable heater that was noisy. And when they advertise netflix......nah.... no netflix at all. Basically you just get an expensive room but nothing else. Just stay at the other guesthouse (like Waverley) coz other guethouse will have staff on premise, still offer breakfast and luggage storage AND CHEAPER PRICE!!!Edit: Based on their response below, they seemed to be a chronic liar because:a. We arrived around midday, definitely within business hours, just a couple of hrs before check in time.b. We just tried to leave a couple of luggage with clothes in it. No need for specific equipment. We can just leave it in common room and it won't bother anyone (and I doubt anyone would be interested to steal it)c. We requested cancellation and refund through booking.com as per their suggestion, and booking.com delivered the request properly. It was the guesthouse manager who rejected the request.d. They definitely mentioned in booking.com that it was A PRIVATE BATHROOM. No mention whatsoever that the bathroom will be outside the room!!!!e. THEIR STAFF WERE IRRESPONSIVE AND NONEXISTANT and they are still one of the worst accommodation I've ever stayed in Scotland. Just don't pick this place.
