We stumbled upon this B&B once arrived in Portree and we were lucky enough to get two rooms (since the all the other hotels and B&Bs in the area were full!) The place is lovely, very traditional. The hosts are husband and wife, very kind and hospitable. They serve a delicious traditional Scottish breakfast at 8:30. We happened to have one of the rooms looking upon the harbour and the view was simply amazing, the location is very centered. I would definitely be back! But bear in mind there is a shared toilet, even though all rooms have their own sink and most of them have their own shower too.

Happy we found this! For some reason every B&B is full at the end of september. So we stumbled upon Benlee. A no reservation or online booking B&B. You have to walk to here and ask if they have a room. You dive back a few years in decor but the rooms are very comfortable and the breakfast is handmade by the owner. For £40 a night you have a comfortable room to stay and a breakfast that will get you going for the day!

Mary and Andrew have had this place going for 48 years. The views of the Portree harbor from our room were stunning.Mary doesn't do internet booking - which means she might have a room available when the rest of the town is booked.The location is AAA+. The Benlee is at the beginning of a not to be missed hiking trail, in the same row as a favorite pub and highly rated restaurant and 1 minute to the grocery store..I liked Mary's set formula and long experience in the biz. Our room had a sink and shower but shared a toilet.

I stumbled upon Benlee as Mary was assisting another traveling couple at her doorstep. She was my last ditch effort to find a bed for the night in Portree as I made my way North. Mary was SO accommodating with the hospitality and the morning breakfast. I truly felt at home. She even gave me a discount for being a strapped (solo) traveler. The views from her home are also spectacular.

No TV - a shared toilet but a great find nonetheless in a great location. The landlady was very friendly and cooked a good breakfast. We were lucky to have a front room with great views. The place was very clean in a very handy location for the town.

Decent rooms. They are called en suite, but for our room it meant a shower cabin in the room and no private toilet. Location is very nice, situated on the high edge of the harbour.
