My wife and I were met by Scott from the Sleeper train and we walked over to the small hotel, which is warm and inviting and so far away from anywhere! We enjoyed walking in the area and always having a cosy home for the night. …

This is the second time I've been here, with my husband. It's an amazing restaurant. The food is exquisite. Every appetiser and every course is absolute perfection. The drinks are also amazing. Lovely cocktails. …

We were staying nearby so only visited for dinner one evening. What a fabulous menu with a great choice of wines. I could wax lyrical about the menu but that changes daily . It’s on the train line from Glasgow, stop at Rannoch. Make sure you stop off here for one night at least. So many hiking opportunities here …that’s if you need an excuse. Scot and Steph are fantastic hosts serving superb food

A superb meal. Excellent value for money. Super Katie was an absolute credit to Scott & Steph. |A very relaxed experience, whereby we were able to have drinks before the meal and then called to our table. |The food was exceptional. The red deer outside the conservatory was an absolute bonus.

I rarely leave reviews but can’t not thank the lovely team for what was a truly unique, wonderful experience.I dined alone with my dog and could not have felt more welcome. The environment is beautiful, the intimate drinks beforehand so cosy (with a brilliant old fashioned), and the personal service and storytelling a really special experience. The food is incredible and a true labour of love. Low waste, locally foraged, highest quality ingredients, creative dishes and special touches - everything about the ethos of this place is just perfect. Plate after plate of thoughtful food - seven in total! - made with love. It’s less of a dinner and more of a food experience. Really special and great value for money. I'd recommend to anyone.

This is just a fabulous place to experience as part of the West Highland railway journey to Mallaig (or on your way back!). Ambience, comfort, the hosts, the food, the views and the local deer….I could go on! This is such a great escape - can’t recommend more highly.
