We stayed a Sunday night in the main building of the Plockton Inn. The room was lovely with stylish decor and all amenities thought of.  …

There is no doubt the hotel refurbishment has made a difference to the quality of the rooms which had good quality fixtures, fittings and decor. Nice touches for our dog with threats, dog bowls and a blanket. …

We stopped here for a meal. The hotel and restaurant had been recently refurbished by the new owners, Highland Coast Hotels, to cater for tourists on the North Coast 500 driving route. The menu was simple but the prices were expensive with £35 for a starter and a main and another £8 for a dessert. At these prices we had high hopes for a gourmet dinner. The starters were good and round the corner at the Plockton Hotel and any where else in Scotland would have been £8. This left £28 for the main. The Highland Burger Main when it arrived was not worth half the £28. It was small, dry, dull and chewy with the most parsimonious handful of chips you could get away with. Still hungry I ordered the sticky toffee pudding. It was a tiny tray baked dry portion of cake with barely enough sauce to moisten a mouthful. It was the meanest serving I had seen. The staff on the other hand were friendly, charming, efficient and helpful. They were praiseworthy. I think the poor food and the mean portions were down to the management of the owners who wanted to fleece the tourists for all they could get and instructed their staff to maximise profit. It is a shame as this short sighted approach will damage any reputation.

Stayed for a night a week ago or so, and it was okay. Nice enough but definitely too expensive for a dated and dirty room. The bathroom door was disgusting with other people's hair and dirt on it, the windows had mold on them, the bed had a stain on it, and there was a dead spider hanging from the ceiling. It just looked dirty honestly. Other than that it was okay, the staff were nice and they had treats for our dog. The breakfast was good but very standard in terms of hotel breakfasts, it was just what you'd expect. The bacon was hard and the sausages tasted bad quality but everything else was fine. Overall, it was okay, but definitely worse than I was expecting.

We spent 2 nights at the Plockton Inn. The experience wasn't bad, but certainly wasn't good either. We were given a room in an adjacent property called The Haven. Our room there was cramped, very dated, and not as clean as I would hope. It certainly did not match the photos when booking (potentially those photos were from the actual Inn).We had dinner at the Inn's restaurant and we were all very disappointed. We had to flag down servers for everything (ordering, getting drink refills, getting a check). The place wasn't very full, but everything still took a very long time. The whole dinner took over 2 hours, and we were trying to rush the processes to get kids in bed. The food was decent, but very expensive for what it was.The breakfast was decent though and came with the room. The surrounding town was great, but I wouldn't stay at the Plockton Inn again.

Although the food at the inn is very good.We had to send our main course back because it was cold.We found ourselves not in the inn or the house across the road but in a building down the street. …

We really only went to the pub for drinks and live music and really had a great time. The local musicians are very talented and very entertaining. The drinks are great! The atmosphere is happy and warm. Definitely should check it out! We paid for a ride all the way from Balmacara to come and listen to the live music.

Wonderful hotel and restaurant, with pleasant staff in the wonderful small town of Plockton.Whilst the stay was great, there is little parking, so I had to leave our car on the high street which wasn't ideal but it is quite and the car was perfectly fine when we returned to it the following morning. The hotel is on a small street just 100 years from some local shops and the harbour with amazing views.
