Stayed here with a big group, immaculate vibes.Read some other reviews about holes in the ground but they really weren’t an issue at all - been camping a million times and with a bit of common sense there were no twisted ankles! Our bell tent was amazing, set up was perfect, had a great sleep.Toby is lovely and went above and beyond, would 100% recommend this for family or friend groups, if you want great views, loads of space and all around awesome vibes 💃

Everything you’d want in that near wild experience- in a truly special location with fabulous views! The simple and charming showers give that great outdoors feel and the thoughtful inclusion of hay bales around a fire pit with logs and kindling was a great way to finish the evening watching sunset and the stars. An absolute gem of a find- thanks so much Toby & Betty..!👍

As an 18 year old Gold Duke of Edinburgh participant, I stayed as part of a 4-person group for only 1 night, camping with our own tents rather than paying for a tent in the lower part of the field. It was the worst campsite I stayed in compared to the other two we used on the expedition. The toilets consisted of two Portaloos and were cramped and not sanitary. Additionally, the sinks in both toilets required aggressive pumping from a pedestal directly under the sink to produce any water. There were also only two showers, and they were outside and resembled small shacks so none of us in the group showered that night due to their appearance. The campsite consisted of a large field, and only one other group of 2 people were there at the time.As our group was leaving the next day, the self-proclaimed owner of the campsite pulled up beside us in a Porsche to tell us we could not be there, and we were on private property. While we tried to explain, he outright refused to believe that we had paid (via a DofE company) to stay there overnight. He came across as rude and pompous and when he finally realized we had paid to be there he did not apologise but said "Well more money in my pocket" and drove off, leaving my friends and I in disbelief at his behaviour and general attitude. As others have said, there were also many holes in the ground, and it was uneven which made it difficult to walk to the drinking tap, toilets, and showers, all which were very far from where we were camping and from many of the larger white tents.Definitely would not recommend, please do not give this business your valued custom as the service it offers is low and its owner's behaviour was extremely disparaging.Edit: This is simply an observation, but I have noted that most of the higher 5 star reviews for this campsite also name the managers indicating that they may be friends or relatives while many of the lower star reviews do not name the managers. This may be a sign of bias.

I stayed at The Wild Hotel with a group of girlfriends for a 24th birthday. We had the best weekend ever. Such a great location. We were so close to the South Downs, which is just beautiful and only a 15 minute drive from Brighton! Best of both worlds really. The local pubs are just a walk away and serve good food and beer. Toby was very welcoming and friendly, accommodating to our needs. We had two bell tents which were very comfortable, we all had great nights sleep and woke up to the view of the downs. I was pleasantly surprised at the shower facilities, instant hot water and good water pressure. We will definitely be staying here again! Bring on next year!

My young son and I had a lovely time in one of the most beautiful locations you could imagine.Waking up to the wonderful views is something to behold. The host. Sorry I can't remember his name was very charming and he gave us a very good tip for food at The Royal Oak Pub. Which was in walking distance and well worth it with their large beer garden.having read the review below . We found the ground more than suitable even with our micro tent and equipment ..We'll be back but next time with the whole family. Thanks .L

Toby was such a wonderful host to our very large group. The site is in a beautiful part of the world, and our bell tent and camp was perfect. We are a family with youngish kids and they had a total ball. Thanks for accommodating us!

Spent a fantastic weekend at the Wild Hotel in the tipis. Toby and Melissa were so accommodating and the glamping was five star. We found the loos to be clean and well looked after and the beds were comfy. I note one of the reviews below is very negative but our experience was quite the opposite and we will have fond memories of our weekend.

Had an amazing weekend here the other day for my birthday. We had about 100 people and the place to ourselves and had a great time. The way the teepees are around the hammock and firepit in the middle is really cool. Thanks Toby and Melissa the campsite managers and Rani the chef. Brilliant.
