This is a review of the eating experience. But after such a wonderful time we'd love to return to stay.We booked lunch at the White Horse just a few hours before turning up. It was a birthday treat for my partner. The whole experience was excellent. The food is incredible, absolutely top quality fine dining with amazing local produce. My turbot was exceptional and my partners lobster was also top class. The wine list is concise, but good and the beers are local and lovely. We sat outside to experience the wonderful view that the White Horse has of the South Downs and it was a fantastic few hours. We'll definitely be back.

We visited for lunch on my husbands birthday. The setting is absolutely beautiful, a very pretty garden both front and back and the dining room is lovely. The food was excellent and the focaccia and amuse bouche were a nice touch. My strawberry cheesecake dessert was heavenly. Wines by the glass were expensive but some nice options. Would recommend.

Gorgeous place. Super attentive staff. Rooms are small but beautifully decorated and had everything you needed. Lovely bathroom products. The bed is small. Breakfast was excellent. If you want to just grab a coffee and pastry or a glass of rose they have this adorable road side hut

So, we literally fell upon this place whilst out walking our dogs on a very hot June day! Unfortunately it was a Monday, and they are closed on Mondays. However, despite this, the owner (externally nice lady) made us coffee, which was absolutely outstanding, smooth and very tasty....and, were the first to be served from a brand new Italian coffee machine. They kindly also let us fill up the water bottle and cool down our two very thirsty hounds. The horse box coffee shop.at the entrance is a must... quiet, sunny and beautiful location. The pub itself has a lovely garden with an awesome outdoor kitchen. Luckily we live quite close, so will be returning when we take our MG out for a weekend or evening drive. Perfect place to kick back and enjoy life!Thank you!James and Sam.

What a stunning place for Sunday lunch! Definitely more fancy than the usual pub, with prices to reflect the high level of service and beautiful surrounds. The roast beef here was some of the best I have ever eaten - served rare and deliciously tender. Don’t panic at the portion size on the plate - they bring out ample sides for sharing and an extra jug of gravy! We were really looked after throughout the meal and all left feeling very full and impressed. The White Horse is in a terrific location for country walks after lunch, but note that only the bar area is dog-friendly if you’re bringing your pup along for the adventure 😇

The White Horse in Graffham is an absolute gem in the heart of the Sussex countryside! If you're missing Le Gavroche, the iconic 2 Michelin-starred restaurant that recently closed in London, you'll be thrilled to know that the talented staff, including a chef originally from Mauritius, have brought their culinary excellence to The White Horse. This cozy restaurant offers a delightful menu, blending tradition with innovation, and every dish is crafted to perfection. The warm and inviting atmosphere, combined with views of the beautiful Sussex countryside near the Cowdray Ruins polo grounds, makes it a perfect spot for any occasion. The service is impeccable, with friendly and attentive staff who ensure a memorable dining experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a taste of Michelin-star quality in a charming, rustic setting!

I had not been before and went with a friend for lunch. It is a lovely location, well off the beaten track.Recently re-decorated to a high standard, everything looked clean and bright. We were warmly greeted by friendly staff and we had an enjoyable meal in comfortable chairs in the garden.Service and ambience 5 star, food + 4 star.It is difficult for chefs to balance the amount to put on a plate considering the conflicts of how it looks and what it costs compared to what the customer wants to eat. Fine dining vs Gastro-pub !This was nearly in balance perhaps slightly bigger portions would have been perfect.Well worth a visit.
