What kind and helpful people that run this pub! We stayed overnight for a wedding nearby and returned for Sunday lunch the next day. The room was clean and comfortable. Lots of good options for breakfast and the lunch was delicious- all homemade, very tasty and piping hot. Service was excellent and they really couldn't have done any more to help us during our stay! Will definitely return if in the area. Thanks a lot.

We stayed 3 nights while working in the area. Accommodation was fantastic at a good price. Great food. Lovely owners and even a pool table. Couldn't ask for more.

Very quiet when we visited but very welcoming.Had rung to enquire about tables for dinner and when we arrived they'd already set aside a table for us.Very accomodating and patient with our kids. (1 high chair available).Small but homely pub with some great motorbike images and memorabilia.

Very disappointing. Out of the menu of around 12 dishes about four available. When it did come, they were quite frankly disgusting websites everything is Homemade but no chance. Everything was out of freezer or reheated… edible but we had no choice as nowhere else to go. Service From the waitress was excellent, but the rest of the team were a bit of a disaster.Starters were like Iceland buffet food it was so late by the time food came we couldn’t be bothered to have desserts .There was a very strong smell sitting in the garden of sewage.Toilets cannot have been checked all evening as the bins were full and there was no toilet rollReal shame

Talk about going out of your way to help. Two of us turned up 20 minutes before opening on our bikes desperate for food and a drink. We spoke to the owner who just happened to be outside in the sunshine and then after a few minutes we had a sandwich, chips and drinks. Whilst we refuelled we sat in the well kept garden and studied the menu for future reference. Definitely will be returning for a Sunday roast.

Lovely English Country Inn. Friendly staff and a great atmosphere full of local eccentrics. The food is a bit basic and a bit too much on the deep fried side but otherwise a good place to spend a sunny afternoon

My partner & I both had an excellent meal well prepared, cooked & all served properly hot. My partner chose the Sunday Roast with beef & they had a Gluten Free option, while I had the home made Fish Pie with a side order of Halloumi Fries. Everything was REALLY good & tasty with nothing left on either of our plates. The portions were generous enough that neither of us wanted a pudding. The only downside to the meal was that I was a bit envious of the Roasted Parsnips on my partner's plate & she didn't want to share.
