Very very good meal here today for Sunday lunch. Great they service Hawkstone later too. The food was very good and you get LOADS of it! Really really impressed. Furthermore the service was impeccable and really friendly. In a great setting too, the beer garden is lovely. Actually can’t recommend this place more! I would give it 11 stars out of 10 if I could. Brilliant.

We went here for lunch and decided on the Early Bird menu, which has slightly smaller portions but left us room for 3 courses! The food was delicious, with a generous amount for smaller portions. The service was very friendly, quick and overall it was a great experience. We'll definitely return!

Delightful pub with lots of character, nice rooms, good food / drink and a tranquil setting. A real hidden gem in the English countryside. Efficient booking not withstanding various changes we had to make due to changing family plans. Thoroughly recommended!

Delicious Sunday lunch of roast beef and tasty veg. The Yorkshire pud wasn't greasy, but light and tasty and the potatoes roasted just to me liking. Recommended.

Mum, sister and I enjoyed Sunday lunch roasts, mum lamb, sister beef and me nut roast, all cooked to perfection. A good variety of veg was served and not overdone. The staff were friendly and unobtrusive. I shall definitely go back as it was the best nut roast I've had in a long time.

We have stayed at this delightful popular pub on a number of occasions whilst visiting family. The stairs up to the 1st floor rooms are very steep and narrow, but the beds are so comfortable. Excellent menu and really friendly staff 👌
