I have been staying off and on in Worthing the last few years visiting my sick brother, now hear for the funeral, so could be my last visit. Staff lovely, the hotel has quaint charm,if you can get a sea view excellent. The bus station view rooms annoyed me- mostly because of the noise, but this time double glazing, ad too cold to need the windows open, so no noise. Husband with me, who is oddly enthralled by watching the bus station. Last 2 times had one of the very uneven rooms on the top floor. kind of silly fun, to take pictures of the distortion of a companions height from different areas of the room..

Stayed here for 2 nights in the school summer holidays with my son. We loved staying here, the location is so central, close to all of the sights and activities we were planing to do on our stay. …

You couldn't pay me to stay here again. The exterior looks impressive, with the ivy growing up the length of the building. Unfortunately that was the first and last thing I enjoyed about this place. The interior is dated and felt like I was visiting my grandparent's grandparents house. The staff are all disengaged; I didn't feel particularly welcome at any stage. My room overlooked a bus station, which had noise at all hours. Horns, engines, power washes, staff shouting to each other across the yard. The room itself felt cheap and ill-maintained. The facilities were minimal. Tiny TV, tea and coffee was just that; tea and coffee (no decaf or other options), beds were fine, decor felt like it was ripped out of The Shining, only with less style.Breakfast is a huge disappointment. Some food on my plate was overcooked while others were undercooked. Options are beyond limited (choose from 5 things and pay £13.50 pp for the privilege). Staff are pretty clearly paid minimum wage and offer minimum effort in exchange. The only positive about this place is the beach is a minute away on foot.I'm looking forward to checking out in an hour and never checking in here again.

Never again. Now to explain...I spent almost 26 years in Worthing and the Chatsworth was always one of the most luxurious of hotels. …

Had a great stay here, beds were comfy, bathroom clean and views of the sea splendid. Staff very helpful and friendly. Place is a bit dated but then it is probably the oldest hotel in Worthing and full of character.

The hotel knew we were a disabled couple and stated that the sea view room we booked on booking.com was perfect for us. My husband uses sticks and a chair when out and about.  …

Just returned from a 2 night stay at the Chatsworth. Myself and my husband were attending a family funeral. We had a lovely stay although we didn't spend a lot of time in the hotel. The room was lovely and had an amazing sea view. …

On arriving to this hotel, we were met by extremely friendly staff. Our accommodation was a family room at the back of the hotel in the corner. …

Don’t be fooled by the look outside. This place is in desperate need of an update! The rooms have probably been the same since 1950. For the amount charged per night it is absolutely not worth it! In September £160 per night , room only. The walls are so thin we could hear every car moving downstairs and people walking down the corridor or even other guests using the bathroom in their own room. Throughout the night I heard constant noises , like something tapping on a piece of wood, it was impossible to sleep.Checkout is by 10:30,l.The “TV” is about the same size as a tablet , there is a kettle and instant coffee or tea bag but No fridge !The bathroom is antiquated with two different taps for hot and cold water, only hand soap is provided, nothing else. The shower was a joke to use.The carpet needs a deep cleaning. No plugs to be found near the bed. The lampshades were stained. No air conditioning and windows cannot be opened. If the room was no more than £50 per night I would’ve thought the conditions of the hotel were fair. But in this case a well deserved one star.I have nothing bad to say about the staff, they were all very polite but they never even asked how was our stay.
