We received a great welcome at the Angel hotel. All of the staff that we met were extremely friendly and very helpful. We only had food and drinks but it was all served very well and the food was excellent. The service we received throughout our time at the hotel was first class.I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

Great hotel in the middle of town, you can walk everywhere. It’s probably the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed in! Housekeeping is second to none. The staff are kind knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. Comfortable beds in a good sized room and great bathroom. Food is great and an excellent breakfast. You just can’t find fault with this hotel.

Our two-night stay in this beautiful historic hotel was a highlight of our vacation. There was so much to love about the high quality service, location, amenities and food. The rooms are beautifully appointed and comfortable. We found a hand-written welcome note upon entering our room. Each room has all the trimmings for a delightful cream tea—I rang the front desk for fresh milk and it appeared at my door by the time the water was boiling. The staff is so warm and accommodating they make you feel like royals, asking about your travel day and offering local recommendations like a trusted friend. Our dinner at The Oak Room was just perfect. We travelled with our two older teens and they also enjoyed our stay.

Outstanding! We visited for Sunday Lunch recently for my Mothers birthday. It was recently named best for Sunday Roast Dinner in Wales by one critic and it absolutely lives up to the expectation. The food was amazing and the staff could not do enough for you. We brought our two children with us and they engaged them and even though it’s a really nice restaurant atmosphere, it’s still family friendly. At the end of the meal, just from the notes I added to the booking they came across with cake and sang happy birthday for my mum, without asking. The lounge and outdoor areas are also lovely to relax afterwards. There is parking to the rear or you can use the public care park near by and it’s just off the high street, so you can have a look at the historical town if you aren’t local.

We stayed here for 2 nights and really couldn’t fault it. The hotel has been beautifully and luxuriously renovated and our room was super comfortable. The food in the restaurant was delicious and the staff very friendly. The parking to the rear of the hotel was very well managed. Highly recommend.

Whilst the High tea was lovely and tasty, service good and nice atmosphere, I do feel the price is not value for money any more. In fact in comparison to what you have its quite extortionate.|The cappuccino was unfortunately very weak and had no chocolate on the top.
