The hotel was lovely and very convenient for us to attend Wales Comic Con in the ICC. Was straight out of the hotel and a very short walk. Our room was lovely and quite spacious, which was nice. The rooms are a bit dated however it was still very clean and nice to stay in. Would stay again. Gareth from reception was great and very helpful multiple times for me and my partner, so thank you!The newly renovated bar and restaurant was lovely and we found ourselves in there most nights. The waitresses and bar staff were great! We also managed to squeeze in the pool, which was excellent and good fun for someone who hasn't been swimming in a while! We only had one issue where one night, the food took quite a long time to come out. This was because they became quite busy, which is understandable, and staff were very apologetic about it.

I enjoyed attending my friend's wedding, which was a delightful experience. The venue was enchanting, filled with vibrant decorations and an inviting atmosphere. Everything was immaculately clean, which added to the overall charm of the event. A special shoutout goes to Chef Michael Mojica, whose culinary talents shone through in the delicious, authentic Filipino dishes he prepared. Each flavorful bite was a testament to his skill and passion for food, making the celebration even more memorable.

Holiday inn Newport (Coldra)Booked 5 nights stay with my family. Two double rooms. One with a spare bed or preferably a twin. Arrived at the hotel, the lady at the reception kindly checked us into two twins rooms (124 and 126). We all felt shocked to see both rooms with low beds, air-conditioning in one room not working, saw tiger mosquito, cobweb, not for human or call Holiday Inn accommodation. We complained to the reception and was moved to 2 double rooms (330 and 305). 305 was just OK, room needs maintaining, spider in room and cobweb. 330 was a sauna room, stayed one night and all day the second day. I was so scared to approach reception as I felt like I was annoying the receptionist. The maintenance team and receptionist were in my room 4 times and at the end one of the maintenance told me that there is no oil in the air-conditioning unit outside. I was later move to their executive room (117). The room was lovely, everything was working fine. Just cobweb, plant growing underneath the air-conditioning, coming from the outside and stains on the wall. The breakfast, 1 star, bacon and sausage were horrible. Last day of breakfast, nicer ,might be a different chef. The housekeeping team did a good job , just need to deep clean the rooms. The staffs at reception appear to be welcoming but bad hospitality. The camp bed for my 16 year old was a joke. As a Club member, this hotel need maintenance and if possible taken out of the franchise. Overall stay experience excluding the first two nightmare days 4 out of 10. Room service team did a great job 👏

Great experience this weekend. We stayed here for an event at the ICC and we were made to feel very welcome. The staff were amazing especially when a large group of us all came back at 9pm and needed dinner. Logan and Mark were particularly great and hardworking. |Would definitely stay again

We stayed at the Holiday Inn for three nights on a business trip. The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, making us feel very welcome. While working at an event in Newport, we needed some dishes cleaned, and the kitchen staff kindly took care of this for us in the morning, allowing us to start our day with clean equipment. We are very grateful for their assistance.

This hotel is very old. The walls are paper thin; if you are a light sleeper, you are not going to sleep in there. You can hear people snoring, chatting, yelling, stomping, flushing toilets, and having a shower. Bed old mattresses, too soft. Also, all the air-conditioning/ventilation is outside alongside the hotel so u can hear the heavy machinery at night. If u coming for the holidays and planning to have fun, u won't be bothered. If u there for a business trip, u not going to be happy. The swimming pool is not for swimming; it's just a little pond to soak your legs in. Staff, well, some of them are okay, and some are sleeping beauties.

What a fantastic welcome! We did a charity hike with St Basils and there were 180 plus of us. Amanda really looked after us and made sure our Mexican Gala night after the hike went really smoothly. From the time we arrived, till we left after 2 nights! Definitely recommend this place
