What a stunning building in wonderful surroundings. We'd popped in last night for a drink and liked it so much that we decided to return for our dinner this evening. What a great decision that was.  …

We booked a room for four nights, and having endured a 7-hour drive much of the 'flaws' went unnoticed until we returned to our room. …

We stopped here for dinner and had a fabulous Sunday roast. The service and food were top quality. Will definitely be returning.|We had our dog with us and although we couldn’t eat in the restaurant we ate in the bar side which serves from the same menu. |The building and gardens are beautiful.

We spent two nights here; my partner, his son (5) and me. I honestly can't fault the place! The building is beautifully imposing upon arrival, the decor had lots of character. …

From the road this place looks amazing. Decided to stay for one night and was totally disappointed. Sadly the grandeur of the outside does not carry through to the inside.  …

The room was in need of an update, carpet stained, bed was poor, we couldn’t get the television to work. …

Stayed here with my sister & dad for a couple of nights. We had 2 rooms and my dad got upgraded. The friendliest owners, they have fantastic humour and never make you feel like a burden even when rushed off their feet. Stunning building and views, fantastic food. Comfy beds and decorated beautifully. Very clean and i felt very safe in my room with the brilliant interactive locks. Not to mention a smart TV with Netflix in the room! Absolutely zero faults. Would definitely come back, even though I live 4 hours away!

Stayed here in on the pictures looked like a lovely room with a 4 poster bed an jacuzzi, a mountain view. When we arrived the room was dirty, not been hoovered ripped wall paper the posts on the bed was dirty and looked like they hadn't been cleaned for ages. The bed was so unstable and noisy, couldn't even roll over without thinking it will break. There was dirty items left in the room for previous guests, widows was that dirty couldn't see out and the mountain views was a caravan site out the back! £195 for 1 night on the 27th July and the room wasn't even worth £50! Sent emails to the property and tried ringing and not had 1 reply because they don't care!

Our suite was scary it looked like it was haunted. The shower pressure is very bad when you take a shower the water falls on the floor making it slippery. There isn’t lots of options for breakfast. The lady who served us breakfast is very nice and kind. Mr David is kind and nice. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel if you have little or young kids. MAYBE it’s haunted. Within 2 nights we barely slept so straight away we looked for another hotel and moved.
