Location is second to none for beach goers and possibly hikers. The beach is smallish but clean and sandy. You park free if you are a guest at the hostel. There's a hilly terrain hiking route that goes for more than 3 miles. The walking path is alongside the sea which provides fantastic scenery. We were there in a weekend with a baking hot Saturday which we spent in the beach and a cloudy and breezy Sunday which was great for hiking. What a fabulous weekend we had.We were in one of the private rooms and it needs a bit of tlc and freshening. I assume the other rooms might also need some freshening as you can sniff a damp.Staff are fantastic and the self catering kitchen is equipped with everything you need. Obviously, you can also buy food.

Well equipped kitchen with adequate storage facilities for your food and drinks. Strict and efficient check in. ID required. Dormitory style accommodation of a reasonable standard. Good location close to the beach and the coast path. Five minute walk to the local shop. I enjoyed my stay and hope to come back next season 🙏

Fantastic location for walks and beach, and lovely team. That said I often feel like the YHA need to up their game now considering what other hostels are able to deliver, namely they do not offer: charging points for phones near beds, better levels of privacy (panels or curtains in dorms) or a reliable wifi (absolutely no way you can do work here). The view from the garden is amazing.

Rooms are minimal with just a reading light and a plug, but the shower rooms are disgusting with this strange white liquid on the flush, the sinks are small and the showers aren’t ideal. Upon entering the room it was a bit wet in the ground. Only 1 of the plugs worked, and charged slowly. There is this unnecessary and creepy green light that shines at night, and the beds are quite creaky. The staff at the café were very kind and helpful. Apart from this, the rooms are very bad quality and not worth the £100 you have to pay for one night. The beach and the national park are very beautiful, but the hostel isn’t worth the money.

I'm sure it is very good when it is open. We spent a very windy few hours on the beach with the kids, went in the hope of having Ice cream, hot drinks and cakes, and it was shut. Missing a lot of money coming in there from all the families that have parked by it over the holidays.

Great hostel. Went here early February for 1 night to walk a section of the coast path. Very friendly staff who welcomed us. It was quite calm in the hostel due to the season, but a staffmember still made some diner just for us. Really appreciated this! Good bed and clean room. The kitchen also looked super clean. Great washing machines ;). Perfect location for the coast path but could be difficult to reach with public transport.

Stayed in a landpod for a weekend, great location with beach about 100m away, free parking in the car park, one you have checked in. The staff are incredibly helpful, recently renovated, with a good social and restaurant area.

the place is really good, hygienic. the staff is friendly and helpful. I'd just like to add that it'd be really great if the rooms had a slightly bigger mirror. The cafe and bar serve really nice items. Being only 100 meters away from the beach is an absolute delight.
