A remote location for this small hotel, hence 4 star. Otherwise, a cracking hotel serving excellent food.We paid for an upgrade and the room was more of a three room suite. Excellent. It was a named room, which I can't recall.!We had a very enjoyable 3 days here with friends in May.

We chose this hotel based on previous reviews and we weren't disappointed. They say they are dog friendly and they certainly were, dog bowl, towel, treats and a ball in the room. As we had our dog with us we ate separately in the bar rather than the dinning room, which wasn't a problem as we were looked after very well. The evening meal (fillet steak) was cooked to perfection as was the full Welsh breakfast. Even a happy hour on gin, two for £7 including a mixer.Just a gem of a place with little extras everywhere, Welsh biscuits and flapjack in the room and a really reasonable mini bar as well.

Had two meals here it was that good. Excellent food, beautifully presented. We eat in the pub area but very pleasant. The early bird menu makes a 2 course meal value for money.|All areas clean. Staff very friendly. Would highly recommended a visit. We were staying in Llangollen, was well worth the trip.

This small hotel, tucked into a Welsh Valley near Crick was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. We were three couples meeting up for an annual get together.  …
