We’d done a long hike from Ganllwyd and got drenched. Walking back to the car we came upon Tyn-y-Groes Inn. We ventured in and were greeted by friendly welcoming staff. …

Lovely place to stay. The hotel element was good. The room for 3 people was compact but clean and well equipt. The pub below was a nice pub, quiet but nice with decent food if not a slightly limited menu. Fun to be had in the games room!

We were staying up the road in a National trust property and stumbled on this pub/ hotel by accident. Signage could definitely be better. It undersells itself from the outside. It has free wi-fi which is definitely a bonus as there was no signal anywhere where we were staying. A good range of beers, food limited but lots of space and a coffee shop during the day. Decor and music both dated but was warm and friendly

Awesome experience. Neat tidy and unassuming rooms. There’s a restaurant, a pub, and a coffee shop! All tucked within the valley of Coed Y Brenin forest park. Nice and accommodating people as well and they are knowledgeable on the surrounding areas and its history.

Such a super friendly place! The rooms were clean and cosy and the staff were so helpful in recommending lots of great walks in the local area. The cafe serves amazing bacon rolls and coffee, plus all the cakes and pastries are homemade which set us up perfectly for our day! We would love to stay again in the future.

Called in for coffee and snacks, had cheese and onion toasties which were nice and filling, played darts and pool, friendly landlady who told us about the history of the pub and the hopes she has for the future with the pub.
