This was the second time we'd stayed at this hotel and you could not wish for a better host and really good food. The location provides an excellent base for exploring northern Snowdonia. …

I have been using this hotel for over 30 years. I have yet to have a poor experience yet. Good everything . Good , bed, company (especially Ann) Lindsay is a Newcastle supporter . Food is star quality.||The only downside is this year the stairs are not for bad backs or old ancient guys like me. With a bit of luck I shall be back

Simply excellent! What a totally beautiful hotel. Spectacular views. Wonderful service. Loved the hotel and all the things in it from the most comfortable dining chairs to the pictures and items dotted around. The team just make you feel totally at home. I've never seen my room cleaned so well before - amazing attention to detail. The food is simply, consistently, delicious - don't rush. Sit and enjoy. I don't often recommend places but this one was special and I really hope I get the chance to return sometime. Thank you to the whole team who made our stay so enjoyable.

An excellent experience from first booking right through to checkout. We spent three nights, fishing and walking locally, and could not have been better looked after in this lovely family-run hotel. The menu was excellent and very well cooked; we would certainly go back if we are in the area.

This is the third time we have been for lunch with friends and it has been excellent each time. Lovely food, attentive service, and an extremely pleasant ambiance in the the dining room. You are made to feel really welcome at this family owned hotel. We shall with doubt be coming back again for lunch or dinner and expect to book a stay at some time in the foreseeable future.

We went for dinner and had a lovely evening. The rooms (bar and restaurant) had a warm and relaxed feeling. Service was excellent and the staff were incredibly warm and friendly. The food was delicious - we had mains and desserts. Would highly recommend.

Sunday lunch. It just gets better each time we go. 8 of us for Sunday lunch totally amazing thank you to Lindsay and Ann and their staff. Everything is home made. The choice of starters and mains were great. The beef was outstanding, the vegetables were fresh. We had to have dessert!

Booked for Sunday lunch. Excellent at an unbeatable price (£17 95 for 2 courses). I had roast beef, wife roast pork. Able to choose how cooked - I like rare beef, wife hates it! Nice desserts too, helpful staff, plenty of space, lovely views. Perfect!
