Lovely, clean rooms. Outstanding quality breakfast. Quiet and restful at night. Right on seafront with stunning views around the bay. But the icing on top is the care and attention to both detail and guests provide by hosts Claire and David. As long as they are there we will keep returning.

We booked this hotel with high expectations after seeing its great reviews on Booking.com. Unfortunately, our experience was far from pleasant.First, the location is fantastic — right across from the beach and close to the train station. However, the room was very small, the facilities were outdated, and there were no towels provided in the bathroom. As we returned late to the hotel, we didn’t want to disturb the staff, so after showering, we had to use toilet paper to dry ourselves. The most disappointing part of our stay, however, was the attitude of one particular staff member. Upon check-in, he insisted on verifying the credit card I had used to make the online booking, saying he needed to check if the card number matched. Despite the fact that we had fully paid online, he was adamant about inspecting the card, and instead of letting me hold it, he took it in his hands and examined both sides. He also insisted I provide my full address, and even though I had already given him the apartment name, he pressed me for my specific door number. I’m not sure if this was truly necessary, but it made me feel very uncomfortable.Upon checking out, we misunderstood the checkout time as 11:00 AM, assuming it was like most hotels. However, the actual checkout time was 10:30 AM. As a result, we were asked to pay a £15 fine, which I understood was our mistake, and we paid accordingly. What really upset me was what happened afterward. After we left, I received an email accusing us of taking four towels from the room and stating that they would be charging my card. This was particularly frustrating as there were no towels in the room to begin with! I immediately called the hotel, and the woman I spoke with was kind and apologized after I explained that we hadn’t taken any towels because they weren’t provided in the first place. However, I overheard the male staff member from the previous day questioning whether they had really forgotten to place towels in the room, in a tone that felt accusatory. This made me very uncomfortable.Additionally, the email mentioned charging my card, and I’m concerned about how they accessed my card details. If I hadn't seen the email in time and called them, would they have just charged me without further verification? This male staff member's behavior completely ruined the second day of our trip, which is a real shame, especially in such a beautiful location. I left the hotel feeling very dissatisfied and disappointed.

We stayed in Room 4 with great views from the bay window seating area along the promenade to the Orme. The room was cleaned every day and very comfortable with a great ensuite bathroom. David and Claire were great hosts and very helpful. Claire's cooked breakfasts were yummy and loved the morning fruit pots. Will definitely stay again if we return to Llandudno.

Avoid choosing this hotel. They are trying everything they can to take extra money from customers. The bed is very small. They don’t provide towels and claim the customers steal them for £40 charge after you check out?! It’s ridiculous. They charge you £15 for 10 mins late check out at 10:40AM. Most ridiculous rules ever seen!

Fabulous hosts who made me and my daughter feel so welcome and that nothing was too much trouble! Amazing breakfast with great selection and room was spotlessly clean too. Couldn’t fault the position as so close to all amenities and a great recommendation for our evening meal provided too. Would happily return!
