This was our first visit staying in the Cowshed Cottage, having previously holidayed in the Stables Cottage.Wow! Beautiful furnishings, decorated and cleaned to a consistently very high standard make both these properties a relaxing place to stay. There's a lovely garden and paddock to walk around with great views towards the river and hillsides. Cowshed Cottage is well equipped, we had everything we needed for self catering. Good pubs not too far away serving delicious food. Cowshed Cottage is now going to be our 'go to' place to relax. Lucy and Andrew are great hosts, always on hand but never intrusive. We look forward to going again next year.

We stayed for 2 nights for a large family celebration, 19 adults and 4 children, so we had the house and both cottages. …

WOW!! What can I say about our recent stay at Powys country house?! We stayed (currently writing this from the comfort of our cosy couch) in one of the beautifully renovated cottages ‘stable cottage’ and what a lovely place as our base to explore the Berwyn Mountains and surrounding area. The hosts were really welcoming and made sure we settled in well, with a nice suprise of an essentials hamper and an impeccably clean home. Nestled in the corner of the estate ensured our privacy, a wonderful cosy living room and bedroom upstairs. The kitchen has everything you needed for a short self catered break and the bonus of a dishwasher! Central heating that worked a charm and was easy to use, an en suite bathroom with an absolutely brilliant power shower. We don’t want to leave tomorow!! We will be back for sure!

We stayed in one of the cottages at Powys House with our two young children (3 & 1) for the weekend and we wish we could have stayed longer, it was hard to drag both us and the kids away! …

We stayed at the house for a friend's 40th birthday and had a wonderful time! The house itself is lovely and very well equipped. Unfortunately the weather wasn't the best so we weren't able to make the most of what there was to offer. It was stunning though and every effort had been made to provide for all ages and tastes. Overall I would highly recommend a stay at Powys house and hope to be back again one day.
