Stayed for 2 nights in the family room. Received a very warm welcome. Accommodation was spotless, with everything you needed. Lovely fresh cooked breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend.

Had a lovely one night stay here on Saturday evening and enjoyed a very warm welcome from Catherine who owns the b&b. We had a charming room which was cosy and warm with tea and coffee facilities and also some delicious biscuits. …

We booked at the last minute and couldn't have been more delighted with our decision. The rooms are beautifully appointed, the bathroom was spotless (and with a powerful shower) and breakfast was fabulous. Catherine is a wonderful host and her recommendation to dine at the nearby community pub made the trip even better. Looking forward to a return visit!

We visited here for 3 nights this week and were very sad to leave. Catherine was a wonderful host who couldn’t do enough for us. The location is utterly stunning, with bird song, a stream tinkling by and no car noise at all. …

We stayed in the self-catering annexe, Cedar Cottage for a very enjoyable few days. It is equipped with everything a couple needs, not really suitable for children as only one bedroom up a dog leg staircase. The bedroom is in the roof of the annexe and therefore has limited head clearance. The property is heated by a heat pump, and there is a Zappi car charger for guest use. There are plenty of car chargers in the area, but do get the Swarco app. There is no telephone service for mobiles, but there is WiFi. Access to Clocaenog is down narrow country lanes, maybe not suitable for a Tesla Model X.

A wonderful B&B in quite stunning surroundings. The room was very nice, incredibly clean and well presented. A nice choice of breakfast and you could tailor it to what you wanted, rather than a set breakfast. It feels as though the hosts couldn't do enough for you.The only downside for me, was that I was only there for one night. If I'm ever in this part of the country again, this will be my first choice to stay.I highly recommend you try it as well.

The Old Rectory is a lovely place to stay. It was perfecty located for my son and I, as we were going to watch a Motor Rally in the local forests the day after.Once the booking was confirmed Catherine the host was great with communication and offered advice on how to find The Old Rectory in the village.Upon arrival Catherine gave us a wealth of information about the local area including the location of a pub where, if we needed could get some dinner. We didn't need to go out as we had already eaten, so we spent a couple of hours relaxing in the very comfortable guest lounge, Catherine's daughter also loaned my son some magazines and books to read.We had booked the double & single bed room, which was great and immaculately clean. A good night's sleep and a fantastic breakfast set us up for a great day watching the opening round of the British Rally Championship.I will definitely be staying here again and will be recommending to friends. The owners also have an adjoining cottage for holiday lettings.

We enjoyed our stay at The Old Rectory very much! Catherine was an excellent host who made us feel very welcome! Lovely breakfast made with fresh ingredients and cooked especially early for us on our first day as we were going out on a foraging course.

Stayed here for a couple of nights. Lovely hosts (only met Catherine and Katie). Lovely breakfast. Also offered the option of an evening meal which I didn't have so cannot comment. Lovely quiet location. Very close to Ruthin. And with the forest on the doorstep for anyone wishing to cycle, walk or run.My bicycle was stored securely overnight which was also great and there was sufficient parking off the road.I was in the twin room which was spacious and had a nice ensuite shower room. Also a TV and kettle, etc. Also a lounge available for guests which I didn't use but looked very nice. You are likely to hear some singing in the morning whilst you eat your breakfast. This is from Katie! Very good! Thanks for a very pleasant stay.
