Comfort all round. Room so clean and tidy. Spacious and well laid out. Excellent shower facility too. Plenty space to park up. Receptionist was very helpful and escorted us to our room. There for about an hour , the staff were very attentive and saw to anything you asked.

Great spot, great rooms and quality service. Also, the restaurant is absolutely brilliant. The curry and the fish and chips were genuinely top tier; very impressive and tasty. Loved it. Coming back!

I am coeliac and attended a trade show here lately, the food service staff were wonderful, made sure my meal was on a plate from the kitchen and not from the buffet. I didn't think there would be a desert I could eat, so I headed back to the trade stands, and a waitress sought me out and asked me if I would like a gluten free cheesecake (which I did). Tasty food and excellent staff, thank you.

The food was acceptable, but my £40 steak was overcooked, which was disappointing. The overall experience was marred by unprofessional service; the staff appeared inexperienced and disinterested. …

Arrived late after dinner and were shown to a dungeon room with a tiny basement window. The room was hot and stuff with no air con. The bed is possibly the most uncomfortable hotel bed I’ve had in a long time. …

Excellent Sunday lunch today. Six of us enjoyed the two course menu which is excellent value for £30. The roast sirloin was juicy and tender, and the bone marrow stuffed Yorkshire was delicious. …

My son and a I went for a steak meal this evening (13/10/24). It was rather disappointing. Service was good - waiters very polite but service a bit slow. We opted for the sirloin steak. It was 10ozs in weight but very thin. …

A nice room in a nice neighborhood with posh cars and fancy eateries. We suspect our lower-cost room was not like the fancy ones in this hotel, but it was still high quality. There's a nice restaurant in this hotel, but we enjoyed a high-end casual dinner two doors down. Yummy! Our view was nothing special, but the comfort of the room was excellent.

I came here on a Sunday afternoon for afternoon tea with family. The service was very good, but unfortunately the food was not up to the standard I’d expect from a 4-star hotel. The sandwiches were a bit stale on the outside, some of the cakes were bitter, and the macaron was hard. The savouries and scones were tasty. Unfortunately there was also a 12.5% automatic service charge applied to our bill.I’d recommend look at other nearby hotels for afternoon tea.

We enjoyed our stay at the Chester Hotel. The room was simple, yet top-quality. The path to our room was long, and the view was nothing special, but we didn't purchase the most expensive room and we are happy with everything. There is a posh restaurant in the hotel, and another one just two buildings away that we really enjoyed.
