Stayed 1 night with my little dog as visiting Edinburgh friends. Centrally located near haymarket train station and was given a small but spotless room which was well equipped and great. Breakfast all you needed and cooked was made fresh. …

We had a wonderful stay here at The Haymarket and Lairg Hotel.Friendly and informative staff. Our stay was out of season so it was lovely and peaceful which is what we wanted. There was a little hiccup with another guest but after a quick phone call to reception, the manager dealt with the issue quickly and personally and gave us the reassurance we needed.Breakfast was served quickly and fresh. Nice selection of cooked and continental items. Our en suit room was clean and tidy. It was equipped with essentials including an iron and a hairdryer and plenty of storage for our luggage. We also had a brochure detailing the many sights and attractions in and around Edinburgh in our room.We would 100% stay here again and may do so in the near future and bring our children with us.Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Location is very near to Haymarket station, and there are frequent bus and tram services to the attractions (which are closer to Waverley station). There are some food options around Haymarket station.  …

We for a 3 night stay. First impression - a bit tired looking but ok. Checked in and paid £560 for 3 nights, per room..Got taken back outside and into no.11.....where it all went wrong. Staircase was very dusty and carpet looked rank. …

My dad and I stayed here in January of 2018 for two nights. Enjoyed it immensely. Manager looked after us well and the rooms were phenomenal. I couldn't believe how massive my room and bed (super-kingsize) were. Also it was spotless and clean. Tea/coffee in the rooms, TV, two person shower, towels, soap, shampoo and hairdryer. Buffet breakfast, after which I had to be rolled out of the door I was so full.

Love this hotel...staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. Opted for the breakfast and it was so worth it. Everything fresh and tasty, even the haggis. Room was large and clean. Bed very comfy. Very centrally located to the castle, train, buses and shops. Will absolutely stay here again. Thank you so much.

Great location, less than 5 minutes walk from haymarket Station. Very comfortable room, clean and tidy. It's a little basic but very good value for money. I added a breakfast which was very well cooked and work the additional £6. This is a great hotel for tourists and travellers.

Located in Haymarket area of Edinburgh, if travelling by train, get off at Haymarket instead of Edinburgh Waverley as that station is closer and will save you taking a taxi with luggage. …
