Good location, quiet street and close to many places such as the castle. Rooms were clean and bathroom was very nice. The hotel operates completely without any type of interaction with staff, no reception or anything which is fine. However, it was impossible to get in touch with the hotel when I made a few attempts before my arrival. This takes down the overall rating a bit.

We stayed at Queen Charlotte Guesthouse for 2 nights while visiting Scotland. The accommodation is in a perfect location to explore Edinburgh, many attractions at walking distance at no more than 15 min. Lots of bars ,caffes and restaurants to choose from. The room is very spacious and clean ,the beds are really comfortable and the bathrooms is great. The tea and coffee facilities in the room are just right .

Amazing stay at the Queen Charlotte Guesthouse. Extremely spacious room with comfortable beds and a wonderful shower. Check-in was self service but our room was promptly attended to each morning. Location was perfect and also very walkable to many of the main attractions in the city.

The room was clean and comfortable, except the lack of any closet. Guests have to keep everything in the suitcases. In the bathroom the nineteenth century tap system (separate taps for cold and hot water) forces you to do everything under the shower unless you are happy with cold water…or want to risk second degree burns. Overall I found the room to be overpriced for the standards offered, although the location and the responsiveness of the customer service are great.

The location is good and the beds are comfortable! However they never came to clean up the room or check out if we had run out of toilet paper or soap if we need a towel etc. We never met someone and although we text them we want the room to be cleaned up and mostly to take out the trash they NEVER came. We stayed there for 3 nights and we bought toilet paper by our owns since we run out!!! The garbage were too many and we were very disappointed!

Check in was rough as no instructions were provided. The day we arrived I had to text and email the property while we waited outside. Fortunately, the code to get inside the building was provided but we had to contact someone onsite to gain access to the room itself. The location is wonderful, but parking is a challenge. The room was clean but a double bed did not work well for myself and husband and it was hot. We had to open the window as far as was allowed and door to hallway each day to cool it down and used the fan throughout the night.

Comfortable room, within walking distance of tram line, Edinburgh castle, Waverly station, restaurants. Pretty much a self-serve operation. We saw only one member of staff in the four days we were there. Our room was never serviced, which was all right, but a bit unexpected. There is no lobby or common space. Although suitcases can be stored in a locked room under the stairs on before check-in or after check-out, we felt that the security of this arrangement was in question as the combination to the lock was never changed.
