We had a lovely stay here for our week in Edinburgh. It's conveniently located near the Old Town sights and the bus stops. The room was clean with a nice view, the bed was comfy and the shower was nice. …

Great location to everything we wanted to see and do in Edinburgh, and fantastic service from check-in to checkout.Plenty of nearby options for food at all hours, as well as convenience stores for everything else. Even a post office to send back some postcards. They're very accommodating about check-in and check-out times - holding your luggage as rooms are made, or if you have a later flight. They went out of their way to make each day of our stay a pleasant one.

Very helpful staff and great location. Considering the price the stay was ok. We had problems with almost everything in the room including temperature, shower, lights and bed. Everything was definitely made with a tight budget, as some places in the room were even left unpainted.

A very basic shabby room with a tiny dated, tired bathroom for £195! Beds small and not that comfortable. Nice view out the back. No breakfast included despite the high price.

My first solo trip abroad, visited for a week in September. Ross was great, from reservations to check out. Check in was smooth, easy, and let me leave bags as I got in a bit early. Great recommendation for breakfast after a long flight. Stephanie provided everything I could have needed, was very accommodating when I slept in a bit late my first morning. Cleanliness of the entire house was on point. Excellent hospitality during my stay and was impressed at the assistance for my neighbor when they got locked out in the middle of the night.I felt welcome and safe my entire stay and the only bad part was having to leave. Thanks for a wonderful trip!

In May of 2023 we spent a week at the Valentine Guest House in Edinburgh. We could not have had a more enjoyable stay. The guesthouse is a moderate walk from the old city center which was very convenient.  …

On the positive side the express check in and check out was great, it allowed us to come and go as and when we wanted and that was convenient and hassle free. The location was good, close to the grass market and royal mile etc. …

Very nice and cozy hotel. The rooms were clean, with supplies, kettle and a TV. I loved the view and the nice huge windows! No noise from the neighbors; code pick up for the keys (so no problem with checking in and out anytime) and just a 15 minutes walk to the old city.

Finding a place to stay in Edinburgh for the Bruce Springsteen concert at Murrayfield was so difficult. And the rail strike for our return journey added to the nightmare of what should have been a great couple of days. …
