Luckily our group of 8 were only in Cardiff for one night. We had booked 4 double rooms back in February and immediately on arrival we were made aware that you don't always get what you book. …

We stayed at this B&B for one night only in June-thankfully!||Me and the wife stayed in a double room and my brother in a single room.||As we went upstairs we got a sinking feeling. …

They say that you get what you pay for. This was not true at St. Hilary's. We got far more than we paid for. Lovely lady checked us in and informed us that breakfast was between 8am and 9am. This was too late for us so she said she would start early for us. She even rang two other staff to come in earlier in the morning. Wonderful breakfast served at 7:15am. What a star!! Room clean, warm and comfortable. Would be top of my list if staying in Cardiff again.

We stayed over 1 night to watch Stereophonics. Booked a double and single room. Where do I start?! Like something from Rigsbys Rising Damp! Sanilav toilets in 1 room. When you ran the taps, the whole room smelt of Poo!  …

Want a dingy room ? A room that has outdated decor ? The risk of electrocution in the shower due the light fitting above the shower door? …

We had a good stay at a very expensive time (price hikes due to Anthony Joshua fight). The bed was very comfortable and the only issue was noise levels from other guests. The breakfast had room for improvement as the cooked breakfast was: one rasher of bacon, one fried egg, baked beans, 3 halves of mushroom and a single sausage.

The lady who manages the b&b is amazing. Allowed us a late entry at 11pm though the policy of last check in is 10pm. Breakfast is amazing. Only issue we had is the toilet was clogged. Otherwise a comfortable place at a wonderful price.

well well well............... was an interesting visit... we changed rooms at first because our blinds wouldn't go down... the toilet seat was broken...... the floor moved lol... honestly we actually thought wow!! but yet we got moved to a more suitable room.... the second room had faults to but for the price we could deal with it... this place just needs a good clean and a nice new fresh lick of paint... the décor amused us highly and kept us entertained.... pictures behind lamps, carpet on walls, pillow case was burnt so I went into other room and swapped it lol... my advice st hilarys please put I little more effort into my hotel... just feels that you have lost all passion for the place..... I will stay again and hopefully there will be improvements...
