We booked the Old Post for my mother-in-laws wake after her funeral. Tonia was amazing when we arrived, we waited until pretty much all the guests had arrived and then she started bringing the food out. An amazing spread of delicious sandwiches, quiches, chicken bites and much, much more. Everyone said how impressed they were with the food and we were constantly topped up with tea’s and coffee’s if we wanted. We have to say a massive Thank You to Tonia, James, Lyn and all the other staff who made our emotional afternoon go so smoothly.Thank you again.

Just had lunch with our three grandchildren for Nanny’s birthday. Excellent food and excellent service. Thoroughly recommend the experience. PS: loved the vegetarian options too, much more varied than standard fare of ‘nut roast’.

I had the pleasure of having my wedding hosted by this wonderful team, and I cannot say enough good things about them. Faye was the person I mainly dealt with in the early stages, and she was incredibly flexible and responsive. I never felt left out or worried, thanks to her excellent communication and support. The day of the event was perfect. The food was outstanding, with many of our guests coming up to us to comment on how delicious it was. James and Chris were particularly incredible; there wasn't a single request they couldn't accommodate. When rain was forecasted for our reception, Chris quickly rearranged everything to ensure everyone stayed dry, which was much appreciated. The venue itself is beautiful and impeccably clean, with picturesque views that added a special touch to our wedding. Overall, I am blown away by the level of service we received. Every detail was taken care of with such professionalism and care. I highly recommend the Old Post House for any event. Thank you, Faye, Chris, James, and the entire staff, for making our day so special.

This is a weird review as I work weekdays at The Old Post House, however go to eat there in the evenings , squeeze in the odd breakfast on a Saturday morning and today had Sunday lunch with 11 friends , who eat out regularly but have never been to The Old Post House, I along with them cannot fault with the food , service or atmosphere...... a lovely afternoon for a friends 60th was had by all. It's nerve wracking taking friends to the place you work and the place you are proud to work at , especially when they go out to eat on a regular basis , to what i would class as popular , well known restaurants....... you want them to love the place like you do ........well ..... they loved it and will be going again........ Happy days xThank you Team OPH x

We had dinner on a Friday evening. The service was superb. We all had fish main dishes with garlic bread as a starter. Our son loved the garlic bread. All the fish dishes were excellent. Shout out for the dauphinoise potatoes, which I could inhale. As a famous general said, I will return.

We booked a table for a mid-day meal, but upon our arrival, it appeared that our booking had not been made. Unfortunately, there were no apologies or offers for an alternative booking. This experience was very disappointing, especially as we were advised that this is a very nice place to eat, and this was our first time here.
