We had a nights stay here. The staff were lovely and food amazing. It would have been all stars but the room is a little dated, couldn't control the heating which was pretty cold overnight with small children and the tap in bathroom wouldn't stop running. We would however stay here again. Lovely evening stroll down to the water and a really lovely location.

This hotel is very convenient to the Fishguard ferry terminal. It's clean and comfortable and the staff are friendly. Breakfast was lovely too. If you are a light sleeper I'd recommend ear plugs, the music in the bar is quite loud and after it finished I could hear everything in the room next door, toilet flushing, water running and then the loudest snoring ever. My husband had earplugs in and he slept through it all. The TV in the room was quite old and there are a lot of very strong smelling diffusers throughout including in the bedroom which I found a bit over powering but I would stay here again and would recommend it.

Can't see any recent reviews for this restaurant which also appears to be a hotel. We eat there prior to taking the ferry. The dining area was bright airy and decorated in a contemporary style. Service was prompt and efficient. The food was well prepared, fresh and tasty. Reasonably priced.

The car park was very close, but it was a little awkward to find the particular reception to check in. All we did is pop into the bar and a member of staff helped us out. …

Parked in a car park and paid for parking (only £1.50 for 24 hours) but says free parking...doors were shut...number provided rang, twice - no answer, got an answer poor information given, quite blunt response! …

Stepping over the builders rubble at the entrance, clearly the renovation was still in progress. We couldn't find reception, but eventually discovered that the bar doubles as reception.  …

Comfortable bed is the most important, clean and decent bathroom with strong shower the next. Friendly staff, decent service and quality options for breakfast. This place had all of the above and with continued redevelopment will only improve. Saying all that, the area looked a bit sketchy on first arrival, but once welcomed by the bar staff and shown a room it was fine. Not great views, but that car park is useful. The Rose and Crown next door was a classy but pricey option for an evening meal. I hope the issue with hot water was a one off.

Nice place to stay, rooms are clean staff are very friendly and it's perfect over night stay for a ferry crossing as it's right next to the harbour. Great breakfast and soft and comfortable beds. Good location too! Would stay again and recommend!- Wish we'd avoided the chip shop on the corner and ate at the Anchor and Inn instead as the food smelt lush.

Not sure when the photos of this place were taken but it's gone way down hill since then. I also think that there are a lot of decent reviews that mix this place up with it's next door neighbour, the Rose and Crown which is an OK place..We stayed in the Hope and Anchor and it was truly bad. Room wasn't particularly clean. Had music blaring until midnight, barstaff were rude.5am I gave up and booked into another hotel for the next night.Nobody was around in the morning to even hand in the keys. No lights on the stairs. Restaurant closed..... This was bank holiday weekend so they weren't refurbing or running down for the winter. It was just badThere are plenty of decent places to stay in the area; I would strongly urge people to choose anywhere else.
