We came with a dog and were created warmly by claire Stuart and Sprocket. Our room was warm and ultra clean with a lovely touch of bed, towel and treat for our spaniel. The pub is homely with a roaring fire to drown out the howling wind! The area is steeped in history and the hotel is a great stay, home away from home.

I wasn’t sure what to make of this place , greeted by Stuart who looked like he’d just fell out of bed 😂 but…, he did carry out heavy cases up to our room !! Sadly no sea view. …

We had an evening meal in the hotel bar, but weren't staying at the hotel. The staff were friendly, but as far as I could tell, only 2 of the dining tables had an 'ocean view'. The food was ok, but nothing special. …

Very friendly hotel, great location overlooking ocean and near some of Scotland's best beaches and mountains. Good food and friendly atmosphere in bar, very welcoming for solo travellers and good value too. Buffet breakfast good too. Owners happy to offer tips on places to visit.

The best homemade Nachos with amazing house Salsa on the Loaded Nachos, Haggis Pakora and delicate smoked salmon are all worth popping in for. Friendly staff, beautiful location and very reasonable prices. Left feeling satisfied. Also, dog friendly environment.

Great hotel and bar/restaurant. Warm welcome, good beer and food, Comfy bed, continental breakfast. Poor weather limited the views but with nice weather it would be awesome. Even if you are camping at the nearby campsite you'll be very welcomed to eat and drink. Highly recommend.

Location and dream views! The establishment deserves its name.Very warm welcome from the owners.Well located to explore the surroundings including the beautiful garden of Inverewe, make beautiful hikes or simply walks by the sea in the evening.Some good homemade dishes in the seaside pub atmosphere, are welcome in the evening because not much around to eat

Overnight stop on the NC500 down the road at the campsite. Short walk uphill was well worth it. Simple, well done food, good drinks, great welcome & stunning view all at a reasonable price.

Only had dinner here but staff was really friendly and the food menu was filled with enough options. Price-quality was really good! Options in this area are limited but this was a pleasant surprise. Would recommend to go here for a basic meal.

In Laide there is really no other option than to eat at the Ocean View Hotel. Perhaps this unique selling point may also be the reason why they don't really try to put decent food on the table here. …

Stayed here for 3 nights what a lovely place Claire and Stuart were very welcoming and lovely host (not forgetting Emma who was equally as nice) lovely place rooms very clean and bar was so cosy with plenty of drinks to choose from. Hopefully be back there in near future.Thank you all staff

Had an excellent meal there. Ingredients were fresh. Super nice staff and boss. Good beer, good whiskey and music to my liking. Be sure to check out the men’s toilets😂

Stayed here for one night. Room was very clean. Owner and his wife were very friendly and easy going. Sprocket the dog was pretty chill too.Very nice location too. We were fortunate enough to have the weather cooperate with us and the sunset and views to the distant mountains was spectular.Ate at the hotel bar and the food was good and satisfying.Would recommend staying here. If you like a nice quiet place to stay with beautiful scenery, then this is the place to be.
