I stayed at Mountview/with Heatherlea Birding December 2022/January 2023 for the Hogmanay Birding trip. I was hoping to add some Scottish speciality birds to my year lists, and in this respect was not disappointed. …

This is the centre for Heatherlea birdwatching holidays, which are excellent. Brilliant guides who take you to all the right places to see the best birds. The hotel is adequate. You are only there to sleep and eat and the meals are very good. Friendly and helpful staff.

We always visit here, quite a quaint little place that you might miss if you didn’t know it was here. They are a key venue for birdwatchers but joe public can eat, drink and stay here too! It’s very cosy on cold nights with an excellent selection of fresh local food. The service is always very good and friendly!
