We had the best breakfast of our whole trip here. Wonderful selection of food and beautifully displayed. Dinner was excellent too - from memory it was a deliciously tender brisket of beef. Scrumptios sticky toffee pudding. …

I was worried that the pizza on the menu was a tourist trap for Americans, but the food turned out to be fantastic. Also a good breakfast and nice room. One simple improvement could be some coffee/tea and biscuits when you arrive in the afternoon.

We stayed for one night. It was really great. The room was much larger than I was expecting. Everything was super clean. Good sized bathroom and coffee maker. The common areas are plush. The bar looked really nice. The restaurant is okay, nothing special. You can walk to Fort Augustus and even down to Loch Ness. The service is impeccable. The staff were dressed in suits which I found really nice, old fashioned service, but not stuffy. They really work hard to make your stay enjoyable. I'm happy that we got to spend a night in an old fashioned Scottish hunting lodge.

This was an expensive stay at a lodge style hotel. The views are nice and the food at the restaurant is decent. But the food prices in the restaurant are extremely high, it was one of our most expensive meals of our entire two week long UK trip (over $100 for two adults without any alcohol). The accommodations are also dated and worn, but it has a lot of potential.
