I stopped at The Afan Lodge today, while walking my dog as it is a dog friendly venue. I was served by Sam & Fran, whom were absolutely delightful, helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was cosy and the views beautiful on this sunny day. I had a pub lunch, which was amazing too! A recommended stop off if you are in the area 💗

Good place to stay after a long day of hiking 🥾 or mountain biking with a view. Hotel, bar area and restaurant are dog friendly and staff are well tended with all our need.Although the bed could of been more comfy, the over all stay are pretty decent :)

I have enjoyed several meals at Afan Lodge and as it was my birthday I chose it for a special treat. So I was a little disappointed when my vegetable lasagne was still frozen in the middle when served. It was taken back and heated up on the kitchen and was delicious when it finally came back, although my friends were halfway through their meals by this time. The staff were extremely apologetic, and I didn't want to make a scene, as it would have spoilt the enjoyment of the occasion, but on reflection, I was a bit upset that we weren't offered any kind of recompense for the inconvenience.

Very disappointed. I've always had a really great experience here, not so this time.Booked afternoon tea for my birthday with friends & it really wasn't what we expected. Staff were great but food was very disappointing. Basic sandwiches of ham & tomato, cheese & onion which we had to ask for & came to the table around half an hour after a variety of bite sized defrosted, soggy cakes, scones & sausage rolls were brought to the table. We were told that all the chefs had left & that managers were manning the kitchen. Totally unacceptable as we were charged £22 per person. Such a shame as the setting is stunning & will not be returning.
