Amazing experience at the Kings Arms Temple Sowerby. My partner and I stayed here along with our two large dogs, on the way up to the Highlands for holiday. Enjoyed our stay so much that we adjusted our trip home to stay there again. The inn itself is beautifully decorated and absolutely charming. The staff is even more lovely. I'd like to mention both Nicole and Lorraine as outstanding people; accommodating, kind, generous, and genuinely wonderful people to spend time with. The food and hospitality at the Kings Arms is impeccable; a thoughtfully delicious dinner menu. The breakfast is wonderful as well, could easily suit many tastes, don't miss the potato scones. Special thanks to everyone at the Kings Arms for accommodating my nervous big dog. He really does not enjoy interaction with people he does not know; this is challenging because he is very fluffy and attracts a lot of attention. The team at the Kings Arms immediately spread the word amongst the staff when I mentioned my dog's special needs which allowed him to move about the building without a fuss, which is all he really wants. I am grateful for this kindness. We plan to return to the Highlands in a few months and we will most certainly spend our nights to and from London at the Kings Arms Temple Sowerby.

We visited The Kings Arms yesterday for a Sunday roast. The decor, atmosphere and very friendly service are top notch. The roast beef was delicious, very well presented and seasoned. I had Bee Whitty's panacotta for dessert, truly scrumptious and presented in the form of honeycomb with the added bonus of their wonderful honey. My husband's cheese board was the best he's ever had, and he's had many over the years. A truly great dining experience - big thankyou to all the staff!

We had the early bird meal. Game pie was duck and venison and was superb; vegetables were varied and cooked really well. Starters also good. Prices seemed comparable with similar venues nearby.

We recently had a fantastic stay at the Kings Arms. The Sunday roast was delicious, as was the full English breakfast. We loved the games room and had a lovely walk to the nearby Acorn Bank National Trust watermill. Great location for easy access to the north Lakes. Thank you for a fab stay!
