Having work done when we arrived so scaffolding was up. Staff friendly. Room was lovely and clean. Breakfast was good value for money. Would definitely stay again

This hotel is classed as a budget hotel and yes the rooms are basic, but they are spotlessly clean, no dirt or dust anywhere. The bed and mattress were new and very comfortable. The seaview was amazing. Towels were provided ( again spotlessly clean) and tea and coffee facilities were in the room.There was a generous breakfast provided, cereal, fruit, yoghurt and a full english buffet. Gluten free sausages and toast were made when I informed them of my allergies. The staff were friendly and helpful. A great value location

Cheap hotel that is worth the money. Great breakfast and friendly, helpful staff. The staircase and decor on the way upstairs look a little tired but the rooms are great amd are clean and tidy

Had a 3 night stay here 16-19 September 2024.The hotel was undergoing maintenance however that had no impact on our stay whatsoever.The staff were all excellent and helpful in every way, from manager, kitchen gentleman serving a hot buffet breakfast, cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurt, toast , teas and coffees and fresh juices.The room with a sea view was clean, warm and comfortable.Maintained daily by housekeeping.There was always people on hand to help carry bags and give information on the locality etc. The views were stunning over the bay with table and chairs in a large bay window. Would definitely be returning hopefully in November! Thanks again Clifton Hotel.There were ample tea and coffee making facilities and plenty of clean towels.Shower was ample and nice and hot.

Decent breakfast. Awesome little Indian restaurant 30 secs walk away. Brilliant access to railway Station. Excellent value all round

Our 1st fisit to Morecombe and what a great hotel we chose. As soon as we walked in the staff were amazing. Up to our room and was great to see we had our own shower. The bed was comftable, next morning the breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend

Cheap and cheerful. The room was small, hence the 4 stars, but functional and clean. Scaffolding surrounded the hotel. If I were a guest for my main holiday, I might be a bit upset. It didn't bother me, however.Buffet breakfast was good and plentiful.The hotel could benefit some investment because some of the decor was tired and worn mainly in the corridors.The staff were friendly and helpful from the welcome to the breakfast room to the man in reception.

Yes communal and front being refurbed but room clean,comfortable, no complaints. Breakfast room good with view of bay.Food hot,service professional. All regular traveller hopes met..with little extras.

Hotel is being refurbished, few minor problems in room but the service was excellent especially Gary, the bed was very comfortable and the view was amazing, looking out over the sea and the lake district beyond. Breakfast was buffet style, the choice of cooked breakfast could have been wider, but the service was excellent. Overall I would recommend this hotel and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Stayed overnight on the way to Scotland. Friendly, helpful staff made our brief stay enjoyable. Slept really well in a comfortable, clean bed. Hot showers and a substantial cooked breakfast in the morning.Thanks Garry!

I stayed at the Clifton for 1 night to break a long drive.Room was clean, comfortable but basic. View was marred by the scaffolding during building work, but this did not impair my stay.The hotel is literally on the seafront, giving views into the bay and Lake District mountains - weather permitting!Bed was comfortable and there was a good supply of tea and coffee in the room.Breakfast was well-cooked and tasty. Straightforward, but with plenty of options. Service was cheerful, friendly, and not intrusive. Gary was very welcoming and helpful. Put me at ease immediately.Parking is on the street / seafront - free as long as you avoid the double-yellow lines (!) Due to the area being busy and popular, street parking can be hard to find. This is the only reason I gave 4* for location.Access is via steep steps - Common at this type of hotel.Music was audible at night from nearby venues, but this shut down at a reasonable time and didn't disrupt my sleep.Summary: Good value? - yes. Would I stay again? Yes.

Wow what can I say "Gary" what a host, lovely man, if I owned this place I'd be so proud to have him running it for me. Gary was so helpful from the second we entered the hotel, nothing was to much trouble, he made us feel so welcome. Gary seems to have a heart of gold and is so passionate about the hotel and the job he does. Thanks again Gary, we will definitely be back again ππ€

Very clean rooms, in good order, amazing buffet breakfast, right on the sea front, with on street parking all around.Regular buses pass by, and the town is a short walk away.A great many bars within 5 minutes walk.If we pass this way again, we will try to stay here again.

Absolutely disgraceful service from Gary. Never book here. Gary abused us as we tried to explain how we booked a seaview room which we never got and he forced us out. He said he doesn't care about helping us he is retiring soon. Shocking behaviour from a manager and am disgusted to have set foot in this hotel.

Fantastic!! Free parking!!! I arrived early and could tell instantly with a friendly and helpful welcome that I will have a great stay. The room is seaview. Brand new bed and clean comfy sturdy mattress. New table and chairs, beautiful large 100% cotton towels. I didn't know breakfast was included so much added value. Receptionist had a smile and was relaxed and naturally friendly, (You go to some hotels and it's put on) and, had an interest in our day. She made sure room was ready. She made us feel at ease and the owner made us feel welcome, even though I had to rearrange the initial booking which I've never done in my life. Spotless and stunning views. A beautiful and old fashioned charm to the place. All local information to hand. Nice tea and coffee. Definitely home from home feel and would highly recommend. Will definitely return here when back in Morecome.
