The site is good. It meets the basics and is located not too far from the center so you can walk for a while and the area is quiet.

How anyone in there right mind would have a guest house and keep it in the condition it's in ,disgusting to say the least ,the bloke that runs it couldn't care less about the place ,so gloomy and depressing, no pictures on any walls ,dirty brown carpet through out ,a dirty shared bathroom, My Mrs wouldn't sleep in the bed was happy on the stool ,it just looks like someone as just moved out and just left rubbish behind and this morning found dirty socks left on floor as for the garden ,God knows what creatures live in it ,like a jungle 😀, place should be closed down

I decided to go to Edinburgh in a hurry from London. On the train, I try to book a hotel online, but am surprised at how expensive it is compared to London. The Travelodge in the city center where I had been staying until the day before was priced at £60, but almost all the prices in Edinburgh shown on Google Maps are in the triple digits. Find some double digits among them. I decided to go for this one because it was listed for 50 pounds and was within walking distance from the station.About 20 minutes walk from the station. A house in a residential area that goes downhill from the main street and turns left. It's an old house that's probably over 100 years old, so there's a slight historical smell, but you get used to it quickly. More than that, I'm glad that I was able to enter an old private residential building, which I could only see from the outside, compared to when I stayed in London. I am deeply moved when I think of the people of Edinburgh living here before they started using private lodging. The bathrooms are shared, but they are kept clean and there are no problems. In the first place, it is difficult to install a bathroom in each room in such an old building. The WI-FI signal was weak and I had a hard time finding my ID at first. Even after connecting, it sometimes disappears. I think this can be improved with a modest investment, so I would like you to consider it.This is a wonderful hotel that offers a very valuable experience at a low cost.

The guesthouse is located in a very nice building. From the state of the (shared) bathrooms/toilets and the rooms as well from a look in the backyard you get the impression that the current owner is not interested in a sustainable business but only in making use of the location with as minimal effort as possible. Ok for a night, not recommendable for a longer stay. The neighborhood seems to be ok.

The place is convenient, and the bed was clean. These are the only good points. The rest of the environment is dirty: the doors around the handles have not seen a cloth in their lives, the plinths are covered with a thick layer of dust, lucky we only spent one night there !
