John was a wonderful host, fun to talk with and very knowledgeable about what to do and see in Edinburgh. Very nice accommodations, quiet, well-appointed rooms, great breakfasts. The common area was very comfortable and welcoming for us two couples to gather.

Since our arrival, we were greeted with warmth and kindness by the owner, who immediately made us feel at home. The room was tastefully decorated and equipped with everything we could need.As soon as we entered, we found a tea set with a selection of biscuits, a much appreciated detail after the trip. The room was equipped with a large wardrobe for clothes, a suitcase rack and a small bookcase with various books in English, perfect for relaxing during your stay.On the bedside table there was a cube for USB sockets. To connect a hair dryer or other device without a three-prong industrial plug, an adapter not commonly carried by travelers, just ask the owner who will provide the correct adapter.The bathroom was a real highlight, complete with all the creams, cleansers, body lotions, shampoo and conditioner you could need. Every detail was taken care of to ensure maximum comfort for guests.Finally, the breakfast was simply excellent, with a wide choice of fresh, quality foods that made our awakening even more pleasant.Another example I want to share is when we went on a trip to Loch Ness. Knowing that we would be leaving the B&B at 7am, well before the scheduled breakfast time, the owner thought of everything.The night before we left, he informed us that he would prepare a take-away breakfast for us. The next morning, we found a carefully packaged box with a full breakfast, ready to go. Inside, there was everything you needed to start the day well: fresh sandwiches, fruit, yogurt, fruit juice and even some sweets.This thoughtful gesture showed how much the owner cares about his guests and is willing to go out of his way to ensure they have a pleasant experience. Thanks to this attention, we were able to enjoy our trip without worrying about having to look for a place to have breakfast so early.This level of care and attention to detail is what makes this B&B truly special and unforgettable.In conclusion, this Scottish B&B offers a welcoming and comfortable stay experience, with little details that make the difference. If there were more standard electrical outlets, it would be perfect. Recommended for those looking for a corner of tranquility and authentic hospitality in Scotland.

The perfect place to stay for our mini moon in Edinburgh!The rooms were really comfortable, with a huge bed with lovely bedding. The room had everything we needed: towels and toiletries, hot drinks, TV, as well as access to a lounge area.The location was lovely and quiet, while still being close to the centre on foot and by tram (nearest tram stop was 15 mins walk away). It was a great surprise that many aspects of the B&B were eco-friendly, from the toiletries to the sourcing of the food.John was a great host, super friendly and helpful. You can tell he cares about making sure people have a good stay!

Great experience here while we were on our mini moon. John made us feel very welcome. The room was lovely, well stocked, clean. Great breakfast offering, and we really liked the communal area. Would come again!
