As other reviews have noted, this is a gem in the Isle of Skye (about 6 minutes drive from the centre of Portree). We loved our time here and the hosts, Mina and Johnny have thought of every detail to ensure that guests have a 5* experience. Breakfast was freshly prepared and plentiful in terms of choice and quantity. Rooms are new too. So glad we stayed here.

Staying at Taigh Scalpaigh was a truly wonderful experience. The bed and breakfast exceeded all expectations. Mina was incredibly gracious and accommodating, making us feel right at home. The breakfast each morning was delicious, with a variety of tasty options to start the day. Our room was charming and comfortable, and the view of The Storr from the property was simply breathtaking. Its proximity to Portree and all the sights we wanted to see during our stay made it a great base location. On our last morning, Mina went above and beyond by packing us a delicious breakfast to go, as we had to leave very early. I highly recommend Taigh Scalpaigh for anyone seeking a memorable and hospitable stay.

Magical stay very close to Portree. Nice location right next to the water. Best breakfast I ever had in the UK, lots of vegetables, fruit and other fresh stuff. Very clean, neat, stylish but above all extremely good service!!! Highly recommended👍

I was really, really, really satisfied, so I left a review as soon as I entered the room. The view is great, the bedding is very clean and fragrant, and the bedroom interior and atmosphere are much better than in the photos. I'm sure the breakfast will be delicious too. The welcome gifts are all very thoughtful. If you can make a reservation, I definitely recommend this place. It's a wonderful accommodation that offsets the disappointing weather on the Isle of Skye all day👍

We had a very pleasant stay at Taigh Scalpaigh. Mina and her husband do everything to make us feel at home. The view from the room is magnificent, it is decorated with great taste and very clean.The breakfast is delicious.The location is ideal for traveling throughout the island and Portree is only 5 minutes by car for meals, which is very convenient.

Don’t hesitate to book this place! Mina and Johnny are so kind and thoughtful the entire place feels like home. She’s thought of every little detail to make it the most welcoming place possible. She put the B back into B&B the breakfast that’s included is incredible and the bed is so, so comfortable. We could see the Old Man of Storr right out of our window and it was just the most peaceful place. It’s also a great place to stay to see the rest of the isle of sky. Stay here and you won’t regret it!
