Alex and Catherine were wonderful! I had an accident that required medical attention. They insisted on taking me to the hospital and I can’t say enough about their hospitality and their attention to detail. I would also say that the hospital there was awesome. I will go on to say that they greeted us and made us feel welcome, and we had our breakfast served in our rooms with a nice menu to choose from. It’s one of the cleanest places I’ve ever stayed! I don’t think you could ask for more in a small village. Paula and John

Staying with Catherine and Alec felt like being with my grandparents again. Their warm welcome and genuine care brought back cherished memories of summers spent in my grandparents’ summerhouse, sharing stories and laughter.The cozy rooms, and beautiful surroundings made it feel like home. If you want a place that offers a heartfelt connection and a sense of belonging, this is it.As Catherine said, there is always something around their house 😁 upon my arrival we've formed a rescue team and was trying to help out a family from the US to change their tyre...because it was a right thing to do. Once they were back on the road, we had a nice chat before I was shown to my room. We've found a nice place for my motorcycle away from the rain and wind and Catherine talked me through the restaurants in the area.In the morning the breakfast was brought to the room, and after having another nice conversation in the morning' I've set off to continue my journey on the NC 500.Thank you, Catherine and Alec, for such a special experience.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Sheiling. Hosts Catherine and Alex were lovely, helpful and friendly and the hotel and rooms were charming and well-kept. Delicious breakfast was served at my door every morning, the room had everything I needed and the location was walkable to everything (including an easy walk to the grocery store to fill up on supplies). Would 100% stay there again and recommend the Sheiling to anyone who is visiting Skye/Broadford. Thank you!

A very cozy and comfortable place to stay. Great food and good location. The rooms are well equipped with all the basic amenities and are very clean. A special mention to the cheerful hosts- Alex and Catherine, who were extremely cordial and made you feel at home.

I stayed here with Alex and Catherine in July 2001. It was my first time ever to the UK and Scotland. I had a lovely time here, hospitable hosts, and they told me about their Skye Serpentarium. I very much enjoyed my tour of the Skye Serpentarium. I bought a t-shirt of the Serpentarium as well, and left a nice donation in the donation box. I have never forgotten the wonderful experience here. It was by far one of the most memorable 2½ day stays in Scotland.

The only good thing about this place was the location and the hosts.The room standards for ensuite were terrible! A shower in a twin bedroom, where we are sleeping when we specifically booked for a private bathroom. Beds way too soft and uncomfortable.Their breakfast was awful!Do not bother going here - there are way better B&Bs around!Two stars for location and the hosts' hospitality.
