It was a wonderful stay. Super correct landlord. We felt very comfortable. Fantastic spot on the island. We would love to come back. Absolute recommendation.

We are torn between 4-5 stars.It was a wonderful, lovingly furnished cabin. Great modern bathroom and bedroom and plenty of blankets in all areas.We would have liked a small sign when we arrived. The entrance is so hidden that we drove past it almost every time and had to turn around.We didn't get to know the hosts. The breakfast we ordered for the following day was already available on the day of arrival and was enough for us for two days - it was great and we were very excited when we unpacked it - thank you very much for that! The eggs all had 6 very different colors - too good to eat :)It was a great view, but we didn't dare explore the area, we weren't sure if we were allowed?!A small bitter aftertaste was that we had to buy more wood for the fireplace. This was clearly communicated and we didn't think it was appropriate given the price/night. We didn't use a lot of wood, but it should be taken into account.Otherwise we were very happy and made us feel like we had really been in Scotland.

I booked this accommodation via booking.com and received a confirmation of the booking. I subsequently received the following email:"I’m so sorry but the dates you have requested have already been booked by an Air BnB guest - I think maybe the 2 calendars didn’t sync properly, which happens occasionally.Unfortunately, you will have to cancel your booking and I hope you can find other dates to come up to Skye".This booking was part of a 1,500 mile road trip from Manchester taking in 5 bookings in total made through booking.com: Perth, Stornoway, Isle of Raasay Distillery, Isle of Skye and Glasgow. I arranged the entire trip around this and even had to book the distillery as this accommodation was only available for 3 of the 4 nights we wanted in this area.This is completely unsatisfactory.

Very well-equipped, spacious cottage/stone house, with cozy interiors. The owners live nearby and would be very friendly and helpful. Nice sea view. The really cuddly Scottish highland cattle from the owners' small farm basically welcomed us. There are several shopping opportunities and good restaurants nearby.
