We stayed 2 nights at Medowbank in September 2023 and we have absolutely no regrets.We were welcomed by Peter who is really very nice.We had a double room which was sufficient in size for the short time we spent there, a bathroom although small but functional, that's what counts!The first day we planned to leave early to go hiking and warned Peter that we wouldn't be able to have breakfast so they prepared us a bag with sandwiches, chips and chocolate bars which we were able to pick up in their fridge the next day.. It was really a very nice touch.The accommodation is located about ten minutes from the center of Portree and has a view of the magnificent loch at sunrise!The kindness of the Scottish people is not a legend and I hope to return there one day!

Peter & Elaine are delightful. The view was spectacular. Room was very clean & comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. This accommodation is tucked away in a quiet little corner but still walking distance to the main shopping/restaurant area of Portree & they have free parking included. Would highly recommend.

Very pretty house, our room was spacious, warm and comfortable, with a lovely view of the garden and loch. Large bathroom, modern and practical.|The hosts are charming. Steven is attentive and full of good advice.|Convenient parking in front of the house. The centre of Portree is less than 10 minutes walk away.

We stayed in one of the rooms in the annex. The room is very small but cozy. The WiFi was spotty at best so we just used our own portable Skyroam WiFi hotspot. It is in a nice location. Only an easy 10 minute walk to the city center. Breakfast was hot choices to order and a buffet of cold items including fresh fruit and yogurts. Breakfast is served in a wonderful glassed-in gazebo with views of their gardens and bird feeders.

One of the best B&Bs that we stayed at in Scotland! The beds were comfortable, the hosts were friendly but not intrusive, the breakfast was VERY good (also loved that breakfast nook), and it's easy walking distance to a few restaurants in town. The bathroom room got a bit cold, but it wasn't terrible.

We had a lovely room with a sea view and plenty of storage space as well as our own bathroom with large shower and towel dryer. The best part of our stay was our lovely hosts Peter and Elaine, who gave us great recommendations, helped with luggage and wet things and made our stay sweet with their warm hospitality! The guest house is just outside Portree, which is about a 10 minute walk away. It was pleasantly quiet. Since there is not much room for many guests, we were able to talk to other guests during breakfast in the beautiful conservatory. It is also good to watch the birds in the garden or browse through one of the books. For breakfast, you can choose from a rich Scotish breakfast the evening before. This is freshly prepared by Elaine in the morning, so it takes a while. But we were always treated to coffee and could already take flakes, yoghurt and fruit from the buffet. There are two breakfast times: 8:00 and 8:30. We enjoyed our stay very much and can only recommend it!
