The room was very dated but clean. Bed was comfortable and staff seemed pleasant once they check we was booked in.It's lost a star for the smell of smoke and weed plus the horrendous sound of people slamming doors and chatting in corridors late at night. Looks a doss house.I don't go back, much better places with full English for same price.

The location, that was brilliant, we stayed here for hull fair and it was probably the closest place we could find to the fair, prices were acceptable however this is where the good news finishes.the rooms were clean but very old and dated, we didn't see one member of staff there after we were handed the keys to the room, and each night when I went outside, the hallway smelled of weed, as you exit the building, there is what seems to be a communal room to the left, there seemed to be lots of people in there smoking weed and having fun in a hotel, this for me is unacceptable, reason being is, it was a family trip and I had my daughter there who is 8, for me this isn't a place I want her to be so for that reason I wouldn't go back to this place.We have been going to hull fair for the last 3 years and we always look for a local place, somewhere we can visit a few times a year and I think this place has lost our business. There was no breakfast option, even though there was details of it on the door, and the booking website. And no dining room either. I think the best thing for this place is to close 👎

Paul & Somsong were the caretakers of the place when I visited. Having traveled from a distant land, they both welcomed us to the Hull and UK itself. Our lives as a family started off from this place and these 2 people - are like family - so welcoming and helpful beyond words

Polite friendly hosts , easy access from major highways and easy access from the city via bus links , plus a few minutes walk to a good selection of independent on trend bars and non chain local restaurants . The earlsmere guesthouse is a traditional Victorian double fronted property that has been restored to a good standard without losing its charm and retains many of its original features which you may spot if you are keen on history e.g. Minton tiling and the like, rooms are reasonable on cost and are cleaned to a good standard . The guesthouse also has a Thai restaurant for residents and has a good selection of traditional Thai food cooked fresh to order , alcohol is not sold here but might I add you can bring your own !! So you can enjoy a drink of your choice without the hefty price tag , but remember this is not a full on drinking establishment just a family run restaurant . The decor is Thai influenced and features an array of silks and ornaments plus some very tasteful photo gallery pictures of the owners family and Thai art in the restaurant . The breakfast is included in cost and offers a variety of cereals and full English breakfast options e.g egg choice fried or scrambled , it really is worth getting up for . Please note that it is a zoned parking area and please obtain a parking permit on arrival !! It's free and there are plenty of spaces outside opposite the building and the street is very quite it has been zoned to make sure you as a resident of the guesthouse have a space for your vehicle . The guesthouse also has a fully qualified health massage service ,ideal for sports injuries or long standing muscular disorders at reasonable cost . On the whole a good place to stay at reasonable cost plus great access to a host of attractions in the hull area highly recommend , I am sure most who visit will truly enjoy the earlsmere experience .

I visited this place years ago, when it was still managed by the original owners. The new management kept everything the same and provided the same level of customer service. However they also did not update the hotel to meet the new standards. The bed was old and creeks everytime you move. Shower and toilet was old and unsatisfied showers can be certain.
