The food here is absolutely beautiful! Honestly some of the best I've ever tasted. The staff are also very knowledgeable and passionate. I don't live locally, we were just passing by, but I'm already looking into a long weekend here just to enjoy the experience again. Wonderful place.

My Dad and I visited for a Sunday roast as I’ve just come home from Australia. The food was absolutely flawless, tender beef and beautiful gravy - everything was so tasty and cooked to perfection. The outdoor terrace is so comfortable so we could bring our dog after our walk too. The service is fantastic, all of the servers are lovely, especially Annabel who was so friendly and welcoming - we can’t wait to come back for food again!

We came here for a dinner. The service was lacklustre overall, and they do add 12.5% service automatically so you would expect outstanding service. Although the food wasn’t bad by any means, it definitely wasn’t worth £18+ for a main meal. The setting is lovely and the pub itself is lovely to sit in for a drink, I just don’t think it’s worth eating there at all. We did not stay in the inn so cannot review that.

We booked for a family wedding in the area. One night £200 which is pretty ridiculous to start with, but had to for the location. No choice. Arrived late morning but were told that though the room was ready, we had to pay another £10 for early check in. It's absolutely disgusting. There was no additional effort as we hadn't arranged early checkin, AND THE ROOM WAS READY. I have just stayed in a beautiful studio apartment in a European capital city for 5 nights for £30 more than this pub is asking for 1 night. And I will be spending 2 weeks in a Malaysian city centre studio apartnent for what the Leicester wants for 3 nights. The room at the Leicester was okay, however the water was not hot and the room was too hot. Absolutely dreadful. Never again.

A great pub and beer garden. Lots of outdoor seating in sunny garden with plenty of sun umbrellas. Even had a small bar outside. Food looked great - although we just stopped for a beer on a country walk.

One of the best "Pub" meals I've had ! After a visit to Penshurst Place we went into the village. It has some stunning houses. The Leicester arms is in the middle of the village. The service and food was excellent. The staff friendly and attentive. We had the burger and chips, Perhaps I thought originally expensive for a pub burger but when it arrived thought it could have been more! Fantastic homemade burger with all the dressing. Beautifully cooked and presented. The Ales available were also well kept and a good choice. As a bonus a wine cellar to die for.

This is everything a pub should be, contemporary decor but with a wholesome respect for the age of the building. Modern toilets that smell fragrant. There’s a function room, a large open fire, history, comfortable seating, friendly, helpful staff. The place is huge too, bar area, restaurant area, enormous garden.Great atmosphere, great food and great beer, cider, wines and spirits.Recommend!

It was perfect- the huge suite was ideal as a getting ready room for our large bridal party- easily accommodated two hair stylists and the breakfast delivered to the room was superb. …

One of the best pubs in the area. Amazingly well fitted out with the new refurb. Great food, reasonably priced and very good staff, particularly Sophie who went above and beyond to sort out a small issue we had today. My only recommend would be to get some more alcohol free beers selection on board.
