Very clean, friendly, good value. The host was welcoming. We didn't try the breakfast as we're vegan and weren't sure it would cater. The smoke alarms went off in the middle of the night and woke us up.Location was about 15 minutes walk from the centre, about 20-25 from the train station, worked well for us. We had a sea view room which was cute.

A really Excellent Bed and Breakfast Hotel. The cooked breakfast was of a very good quality. Our room was clean and fresh with a great shower! The rest of the hotel was the same. A great hostess meant we had a fabulous stay at the Sherwood Hotel.

Lovely hotel, friendly staff, room was comfy and had a beautiful Seaview, there was a carpark opposite with reasonable priced parking, the walk into Margate was so quick, close enough to enjoy but far enough away to not be disturbed. Definitely would recommend and go back again. Thank you!

A few issues, when we came to check out, we pressed the bell twice waited several minutes and nobody came. The shower was scolding hot with no way of reducing the temperature, tomato ketchup sachets were two months out of date. Positives were that the lady who checked us in and served breakfast was very courteous and it was clean.

Booked this place for myself and a friend. the hotel is exceptionally clean and breakfast was absolutely delicious. However, the hotel is located at the far end of town, with a good 10 minute walk to the main part of Margate. Furthermore, the area the hotel is in is incredibly sketchy area- I would not feel comfortable if I were a younger lone woman. Also the sinks were tiny in the bedrooms and our towels were quite worn. Pleasant enough stay.

Best 2* I have stayed in. Great location - close enough to walk to everywhere you'd want to visit in Margate, whilst far enough from the centre not to suffer from any late night noise. I had room with balcony overlooking the sea. …
