My wife and I stayed here for two nights in mid October 2024. The location is about 15-20 minutes walk to Canterbury Cathedral, bus station and train station, set off the main road with free parking in a quiet little spot. …

This trip was to relax and destress.. particularly for my husband. To say that was achieved would be an understatement, not only were we given a free upgrade, we had the most warm welcome from a delightful young lady called Pennie . …

We booked a two night day to meet up with old friends. I have stayed at the Abbots Barton previously, many years ago, and I chose it because of its proximity to the city centre and because it has easy parking. …

The hotel is in the process of being done up so much of the 1980s style still remains. Our double room was on the third floor, and it felt small. The hotel must be understaffed as they left the dirty dinner plates, cutlery and glasses on the dinning tables, overnight, to be cleared away in the morning. I haven't encountered this practice before in a hotel. I might add that this was during 34 degrees heat wave. The staff we encountered were lovely, the social areas were clean and tidy, but we were both shocked by the dinner plates not being cleared away. We stayed three nights.
