Had a family meal and I must comment the food, service and menu was excellent. The prices on the new summer menu are good value too. Keep up the great work with the changes under new ownership! The jerk chicken, pie, burger and kebabs were fantastic. The staff were really friendly and attentive too

Raw chicken - bad attitude. I’m so gutted that this pub has gone so massively downhill. We live opposite and would love to be able to walk here and have a nice meal without being served raw food and then being threatened. …

The food was slow to arrive and we had to remind them about our order. The pub is in a rural location and has the potential to offer a good range of food. I had a sandwich but was not offered a choice of bread. I had to leave the bread as it was thick, crusty bread and not to my taste.Having said that, I would give it another visit as it is new management.

Just had a lovely meal at the rising sun pub. We had the chicken and halloumi skewers. Very large portions, well presented and very tasty. Blondie Bakewell for dessert was yummy. Value for money was very good. Staff were friendly and attentive. Definitely, recommend a visit.

Hi just come from a family meal at the rising sun. Lovely pub and location been before. I want to give constructive criticism. Ordered mushroom risotto and I have to say I have never been served a risotto with salad on top. The mushrooms were quite hard and the risotto stiff. Risotto should be loose. My husbands steak and burger was tough and bland and the bun was dry. My grandaughter had the obligatory nuggets and chips? Bland also. My son had the steak and peppers with rice his words not mine 'mediocre'. Ok now the server did tell us there was only one chef on so I will give this place the benefit of the doubt for today. Our server was lovely and attentive. I am going to move to the area in the next few months and want to bring friends and family to this lovely pub. Hopefully food wise will be better on my next visit. I'd like to write a much more positive review next time.

Asked if they had Angostura bitters. Unfortunately difficult to explain. |Other things to add to a soft drink for a non alcoholic drink. |Eventually choice my drink a Cuba Libre with an Eclipse rum from Barbados and coke. Presented well. |Friendly customers. Just felt no atmosphere.

Wasn’t happy with the meal. Ordered pate for starters the toast was soggy. The shepherd pie too salty! Broccoli spears you couldn’t cut with the blunt knifes. Crème brûlée tasteless. Coffee terrible.|Staff were nice and helpful and friendly. Will not return.

Bar staff extremely helpful especially Kate. The food was very nice. The blonde girl with her hair in a bun was really lovely serving the food.
