This must be one of the best positioned hotels in the country. Its courtyard entrance is maybe 50m from the cathedral, within the Cathedral grounds, which enables the lucky guest to park for a small charge.  …

Have been to several functions at the Cathedral Lodge, the setting is fantastic and location wise it is ideal! The venue is lovely inside and suitable for many different occasions I have been to work Christmas party's, afternoons teas and weddings here. Only gripe is the bar area is relatively small so service there can take a while. Otherwise would definitely recommend!

Had a very pleasant time staying here. The hotel is positioned within the walled grounds of Canterbury Cathedral. Views from the room were spectacular as it overlooked the Cathedral. …

This is a terrific place to stay at a good price. SlIt has s imple but very pleasant rooms. A great breakfast is included in a nice dining room, with helpful waiters. Staff is very helpful. Literally a stone’s throw from the Cathedral entrance. Stay here two nights.

The location is exceptional, inside the Cathedral grounds and so in the centre of Canterbury, but it is tranquil and quiet. …

Canterbury Cathedral Lodge is something of a hidden gem nestled in the grounds of the mighty Canterbury Cathedral.||We stayed for the night after attending an evening event in the Cathedral (September 2024).  …

The cathedral lodge hotel hosted our wedding reception and was fantastic. The auditorium was a perfect space for the meals and evening party. Planning was made as easy as possible by the team there, they were super helpful with all our questions, and were on hand on the day to tweak and perfect the day. The chef and kitchen staff are accommodating and skilled. They worked hard to bring our ideas to life and handmade some amazing food for our guests. Alex and Rachel were particularly noteworthy as our liaisons on the day and stopped at nothing to make everything run smoothly so we didn't have to worry about anything.

Superb location in the shadow of the beautiful cathedral. The hotel is safe and secluded in the police controlled courtyard area of the cathedral affording easy access to the town. The car park is a little tricky to get into and out should you arrive by car. The room we stayed in was super clean and comfortable. Staff are extremely diligent and attentive. Very professional. Breakfast was superb. We really enjoyed our stay and will return again next year.
