One day this will be the best hotel in Folkestone. But it's just opened and they're still snagging.Room was spectacular with incredible views etc.Amazing location.Lovely bed.But the room had been designed by someone who has never stayed in a hotel.Light switch for the bathroom is about 15 feet away.Light switches are grouped together so good luck actually getting the right switch. Instant hot water but separate hot and cold taps. Surely mixer taps aren't that expensive. The device to boil water was a total mystery. The chains for the blinds clink in a breeze (tip: weight them down with a towel).Huge step into bath/shower. Shower is overhead only. Need the side shower for people who don't want wet hair.Breakfast was all sweet. You're near great breakfast places, so my advice is to miss the one in the hotel.

Had lunch at the restaurant and it was some of the best food I’ve had in England. The prawns were a bit over cooked, and the chowder slightly too runny for my taste, and the silver wear placement on the table was a bit chaotic. I’m nitpicking (used to teach etiquette and at a restaurant college and I expect a level when paying a certain price for food). However, the staff were delightful and helpful, and the view from the table was spectacular.

Had a wonderful meal on Saturday lunchtime. Lovely dining room. The seafood was outstanding especially the razor clams small dish, and the unctuous fish stew. Very good and friendly service. Will be back!

Perfect location right in front of the harbour, lovely new hotel and the rooms have been done to a high standard. Just loved the window seat, and the fact there is no tv just a radio so you can switch off a chill out with a glass of wine looking out the window.

So first visit, four of us. We thought this place might be all mouth and no trousers... and we were completely wrong. Fantastic food, great atmosphere, relaxed, cool vibe, happy staff. Two bottles of cellar end wine were a raving bargain. Superb fish cookery - absolutely delicious. Of our last three high end splurges, this was the best food and overall experience. Well done guys, really - we will be back.
