I am utterly unimpressed by the Travelodge in Ashford Town Centre.First of all, it is meant to be a cheaper option than most hotels but I didn’t find it cheap at all (£424 for 7 nights). I had only initially booked for 4 nights but then had to extend for 3 more nights due to work commitments. I was told that I had to make another booking online or through the call centre. Why not offer the possibility to extend your stay just by popping down to reception and paying there and then?So I booked online for an extra 3 nights. I asked if I could stay in the same room but the member of staff said that I couldn’t because my room had apparently already been booked (this later turned out to be incorrect).He explained this would mean that I had to pack up all of my things, leave my suitcases in their storage room and then come back after 3pm to check into a new room.The following day I spoke to another member of staff who said his colleague had not idea what he was talking about! Luckily I was allowed to stay in the same room without checking out and in again.Apart from this little hiccup, I found the room ok. For the price they charge (which is not exactly cheap), it would be nice if they could include free wifi and clean the room every day.I don’t think I’ll stay in another Travelodge again unless I’m really desperate. Do not recommend.

Recently refurbished, so a few squeaks that need a tweak. However, the super manager (tall, slim guy - didn't catch his name), will iron these out no doubt. Best Travelodge lodge experience ever. Hats off to Ashford TL 😁

Service amazing, quick response… food was exceptional… we will return very soon. Prabin and George been really amazing since welcoming us to hotel until we left. Pizza was pipping and delicious.. this refurbishment it’s an really nice upgrade to the business

If visiting Ashford for a day or two, then it is worth staying here, The hotel is near station, near high street and near outlet store - what more can you ask for.

Very lovely staff and amazing service. Our drinks were served straightaway and the food was really delicious. Also loved the new decorations and the overall energy of the environment there. Really nice place to go to relax and enjoy a few drinks amongst friends. Would definitely recommend ☺️

As luck would have it I checked in on the night that the new bar and cafe opened. wow ! Above all of my expectations and above any travelogue I have stayed in before. Thank you to George Prabin and James for showing round and getting me my much needed drink !

Ashford town centre Travelodge is undergoing repainting and refurbishment. The café and bar are closed. Workmen are on site with paint cans etc in corridors. Our room smelt strongly of paint and gloss paint was still wet, not fit for sleeping in the room. We were not informed of the refurbishment beforehand and have had no refund.
