We arrived just after 5pm so parking in the public car park behind the hotel was free; the hotel really is only a couple of minutes from the ferry port; we had a very good welcome and check in from George. …

Excellent 7 night stay at Travelodge Dover. Quality clean room and great staff made this visit to see my family in Deal most enjoyable. Breakfast menu is good value for money too, and this is the first time I have used this facility even though I have stayed at this Travelodge before.

Great place to stop before a trip abroad or if your visiting Dover. Good location right in St. James' retail park, so plenty of choice for food. Standard budget chain hotel room but nothing to complain about, room was clean, kettle with complimentary tea and coffee provided (could do with more milk though, two toppers is only enough for one cup of tea). Would use again.

This has been a horrible stay. The air conditioning in the whole building has not worked (it has been 4 nights now) and all the staff say is sorry, it’s not working. No offer for changing of rooms or cancellation/refunds. The windows also don’t open, otherwise this wouldn’t be an issue. Some staff have claimed they called someone to fix it, but no change after several days. Another staff member said they’ve had issues like this for a year now. I stayed in this hotel 3 years ago and it was fabulous. Without the air conditioning it is unbearable.

Absolutely adequate and very close to the ferry. A good place to spend one night after arrivig on the ferry. The air conditioning in the rooms is a bit loud and you can't open a window. But it's clean and the beds are comfortable

Typical of Travelodge. Had to ask for an extra towel as only one bath towel provided. Also had to ask for more toilet roll. Feel so sorry for the staff as there is no constant reception cover - they appear to have to cover everything. Won't hurry back

I stayed here on business. Rooms very basic, clean and warm. Breakfast is not the best. It seems the food is warmed up . Didn't look freshly made and tasted the same.. service was slow on check in but staff friendly.

Kim was absolutely fantastic and brilliantly helpful on reception as I’m not from the area. Huge amount of local advice and an absolute pleasure to deal with. A credit to Travelodge , lovely to arrive to a nice welcome after a long journey!!!
