Called to book a table for the night, only to find out that the kitchen was closed on Sunday night but we could eat now. And since it started raining what better way to spend the afternoon. Staff were very friendly and service was good.

Amazing service. Excellent value. Delicious, freshly cooked food. 14 of us turned up for lunch and they happily rearranged tables and managed to serve all our dishes at the same time with very little waiting. Most impressive.

Really nice little traditional English pub with good service and great food. Initially what was a hunger-led decision in an unassuming pub turned out to be a lovely experience. Great service from nice staff, simple facilities, great pub food! Fish and chips is a good size, not huge (there is a small option) and chips were crispy not soggy and even fancy condiments!

Terrible place. After sitting at a table for 20m we thought we would go to the bar to see why noone had come to take our orders. Staff were moving around us collecting used plates from tables etc. The extremly unfriendly bar man / owner told us it was order at the bar. There was no indication this was the case anywhere. So we took a menu back to our table and then went back to the bar to order. The owner started to take our order on his till but his attitude was absolutely disgusting and unhelpful. It was as tho we were an inconvenience. Locals who were drunk were at the br swearing and acting like village idiots. These were obviously the regulars and pals of the owner. We noticed Daily Mail newspaper clippings on the wall about the road outside. Lostening to what the village idiots were talking about it became clear this was some sort of fwr right watering hole. Hole is a good description as the interior was somewhat bare. It was not a nice family experience. The food was passable but only just. We would never go there again as far better places are available up in Hill Rd for less or the same price. It seems from other reviews that our experience of this dump is the same as many others have had. AVOID THIS DUMP AND ITS OWNER LIKE THE PLAGUE

Friendly bar and serving staff, and a lovely Sunday roast to boot. Landlord wasn't the cheeriest when I asked him if after my meal, I could leave my car in the car park for half hour to have a sea walk, he refused due to lack of space. Next time I won't ask lol. Great food tho worth stopping by on Sunday and we diddnt need to book ahead for food and arrived after 2pm

Totally unplanned visit today but so glad we did. Sat outside on the little balcony and had the most delicious roast beef dinner. They were very busy, but it was well worth the wait. Absolutely nothing to complain about (& I'm very fussy!). Staff were all very friendly. Our waiter took the time & trouble to chat with us, which makes a pleasant change. Would highly recommend a Sunday roast here. Every element of it was so very tasty and plentiful. We're looking forward to our next visit already 😊 Thank you.

Didn't say a room there just stopped for food. The chef was running late so kitchen would not be open for another 30 minutes was average prices they are part of a large chain but pub needs a major overhaul as everything was very old scruffy and dated. Toilets defo need sorting as they weren't the nicest I've been in. Only saving grace is a outside balcony with a good view. Plenty of seats in he car park thoubut car park only allows about 6 or 7 cars in it

A bit of a shambles. We were rudely told by staff we couldn't use our gift card as they were an independent and we should have read the small print. The terms and conditions state that the card can be used in any Green king establishment and certainly does not mention anything about independents 😳We were denied a high chair for our two year old little boy as they were all booked out, despite them advertising they are a family pub. There was a 40 minute wait on food, however, this was communicated when we ordered. The problem we had was we had barely finished eating before a member of staff snatched our menus away saying they are no longer serving food as they can not cope. We found this unprofessional and were left with no desserts. The toilets were shocking, I'll spare too much detail, however it has to be said there was a dirty used pad left on the floor in the ladies amongst other grim discoveries 😳The food itself was OK, hence the 2 star review instead of 1 star.

We called on after seaglass hunting on the beach. Wonderful food. I had the chicken souvlaki salad thing, hubby had the pie! He's got a big appetite and he loved it. Thanks for a lovely time.
